UV-B lights help

Ok so Iam interested in using a few UVB bulbs this grow so just wondering what exactly to buy it's extremely confusing
There's so many diff types
Has anyone used them and r they with it

was looking at this one at my local Petsmart store....seem like the strongest one they have but not cheap...no idea if it's any good for our application

What are the dimensions of your grow? 5w of UVB 10% per sqft will get you where you want to be.

Light options:
Reptile bulbs (zoo med reptisun or exo terra)
Tanning bulbs (pick 9.9 uvb or higher versions)
Arcadia UVB

It's really about what fixtures you may already have, and the dimensions you are covering, getting good distribution...

If you've never played with UVB, I recommend you get just 1 of these and do a test with it. It's easier to see the effects when only part of your plants are being exposed from one source. I used the same bulb and on my first test it was obvious they were responding, trics pointed directly toward the UVB bulb. Now I use tanning bulbs and you can't tell because the light is better distributed so they don't point at something specifically like they could with the CFL.
