Ultimate Syn-organic bloom booster!! In need of a chemist’s opinion of what should and shouldn’t be there. Please help

Hey guys!
So I’ve been vegging my girls for about 4 months and filled out a 5x10 scrog with 4 plants. These ladies are monsters! Since I’ve started I’ve been doing a mix of base nutrients on day 1 then on day 3 I would give organic nutrients and mycorrhizae then on day 5 just plain water and start the cycle over again on day 7. I’m currently I’m week 3 of flower and running the GH Floranova bloom base solution with floralicious plus and wanted to concoct my own booster solution.

From what I can tell the following ingredients all play an important role in either bud structure, taste/terpene production or resin output:
Epsom salts, monopotassium phosphate, potassium sulfate, Chitosan, citric acid, kelp, banana tea, molasses/dextrose, triacantanol and harpin extract(If there’s some I missed PLEASE feel free to bring it up...I’m here in the name of science). Most of these are known and are claimed to be the “secret sauce” of some beloved go to nutrients like bud factor x, big bud, sweet, bud candy and terpinator.

This is the feeding that I gave them tonight after the base nutrient + floralicious that I gave them day before yesterday.(the mix that day was 1050ppm in and output runoff of 750-800 with avg ph of 6.4)

Tonight’s menu was for 2 gallons
- 10ml calmag plus(Botanicare)
- 5ml silica Plus (Botanicare)
- 2g MPK 0-54-32(monopotassium phosphate)
- 15ml Tidal Vision’s High Tide Shellfish extract(0.5% Chitosan and citric acid - undisclosed amounts of acid)
- 250ml coconut water(overall health booster)
- 1 tbs Kelp master extract
- 5ml Moringa FPJ extract
- 3 cups banana tea(Made by steeping 5 banana peels for 4 days and burping the bottle twice a day for oxygen exchange)
- 2 g Karbo Boost(dextrose...aka molasses without the ppm)
- great white mycorrhizae

Total solution came up to 950-1000ppm. All girls ate it happily and spat out 7-800ppm runoff

Although...I ph’d the final mix to 6.1 yet my runoff was starting to creep out of range at 6.6-6.75.
I heard that the mpk can throw off ph a bit and also the citric acid because it fluctuates like crazy.

Would really appreciate the help of a grower with experience or a chemistry background To advise me as far as a good buffer that I can add to hold the ph a bit more stable...and also if what I mixed tonight could be somewhat counterproductive to the end goal of some fat, tasty, frosty buds for harvest. Look forward to hearing your comments and suggestions!

Your using the buffers already. Silica and calmag are what people will tell you to use.
Ahh ok...well then any idea why there was a huge ph fluctuation? The Tidal Vision High Tide Shellfish extract is Chitosan and Citric Acid but I don’t get why the ph would’ve increased so high. It was 6.2ph in then 6.5out..then after a while some more runoff came out and it was at 6.75...then the last little bit was at 7 so I’m a bit concerned as to what in the mix could’ve caused it or what two things could’ve come together to react that way. Any guesses? Also open to any suggestions for this..it’s my first time making my own concoctions and actually understanding the use for each nutrient but I don’t want to overdo it. Used to use Advanced years back and I just don’t have it in me to spend that kinda cash when I live on a tropical island with lots of organic resources...just wanna add the necessary salts when I have to. Still really interested to understand why you cut out the phosphate and switch to sulfate after The first 3 weeks when the “boosters” that are based with the phosphate advise you to run for the whole flower cycle. Please drop some knowledge bombs...not here to be ignorant to information. Really enjoying the dive into the rabbit hole of plant chemistry

I also don’t wanna lock myself out. Is there any redundancies in the mix that I’m doing that can cause a surge in one nutrient which will inherently lock out others and decrease uptake efficiency? I’m considering to move the MPK to the first feeding day with the floranova bloom and floralicious plus. Then strictly keep my second feed day as Organic sweeteners With the sulfate?

I guess a should include that I’m in RDWC. Ph swings like your talking about are normal, especially when using organic stuff. The enzymes microbes etc breaking down the stuff they do makes it swing.
As far as MKP goes, I was first turned on to using it by using Jacks321 and watching Greengenes YouTube vids. As my understanding goes the plant needs the boost in phosphorous for flower initiation and then needs potassium once it has buds. Now, that’s not to say it wants zero P during weeks 3-8, but what’s in your base nute May be enough. I’m just talking what I’m boosting. If you look at the back of most bud boosters and stuff like terpinator you will see that they are all MKP and potassium sulphate or potassium silicate. Then they add fluffy stuff like vitamin B. Molasses etc.

feel free to pm me or check me out on insta. I could chat all day about this stuff.

Bannana peels!

Is there anything your not adding and you seem a little ocd adhd because all that is not going to make much difference over a normal bag of soil and three bottles of ferts.

Each to their own, thats way over the top for me.

The organic ph swing makes sense. It was just my first time since I started my “organic day” that I saw such a swing so got a little concerned. So I’m gonna have to isolate which ingredient did that and maybe let my buckets sit for an hour or so before I give it to the plants To make sure the ph doesn’t swing too much. I usually wait 15-30mins and check again but this time I’ll leave a little longer. What’s your ig? I can definitely get into this stuff all day. I’m hell bent on not wanting to buy unnecessary nutes anymore .

I knowwwwww!! Lolll not meaning for it to be overkill just didn’t want to miss anything. I’m using promix so the nutrients get well absorbed by the root System. I swear I’m not ocd...just honestly trying to figure out what makes sense than not. So I figured I’d start with all the powerhouse Components then be subtractive after to see what matters vs what doesn’t. I’m 100% sure that half the things aren’t absolutely necessary...but they are somewhat beneficial.
The banana peels was an idea after looking into “Terp Gerp” which is a pressurized spray for people to use during flower and one of their main ingredients was bananas. So I dig further and apparently banana tea can really help to boost Flavour profiles in the plant and I honestly can’t say I’ve had bad results from it. If you think it’s over the top I fully welcome that statement cuz I think so as well. Wanna help me narrow things down and sift through the bs? Lol

im starting to see some results from the feed though. Maybe the Chitosan triggered it but there’s a lot more resin on the leaves now and it’s just the 3rd week of flower.

Your plant looks great like i said each to their own but so you know you can simplify this over time even just run a test plant in soil and ferts next grow to help you play about with easier ways.

Well that’s what I’m trying to do. I do agree that it was a bit of overkill and some elements may even be contradictory to what I’m trying to accomplish at the moment which is to bulk them up as much as possible. But I like to use straight promix because I really like trying to understand the behavior of the plant and when it eats most and why so I can maybe start prepping myself for future projects a bit better. I have a friend that grows strictly organic in his own soil that’s way better than fox farm but for now I rather the promix so I can gauge what’s going on properly. The organic day was just to put some live enzymes and bacteria in the promix so it behaves more like a soil and the roots appreciate the less salty environment. I’d love to hear what your feeding schedules are like and maybe learn from them. As I said...I’m here to seek knowledge and not be oblivious to good suggestions. So please drop some tips that you think may help me along my task or maybe some do’s and don’ts you maybe learned along your journey.

The best way to bulk buds up is by getting better at growing not additives. The market would like you to believe its the additive not the grower.

Your doing fine just do some comparisons and take your time, eventually doing a million things gets totally boring i just prefer a one bottle does all.
