HI GUYS!

I remember when I first LST'd and the first time is the most confusing for most people! It was sad how I could not find any help here regarding this matter. So, I'm going to fix that! This was the first LST image I've seen and I'm sure most of you are familiar with this picture:

I have started a grow that will mimic this LST as close as possible. I have two pins down already, and more to come! Please feel free to ask questions in between!

My first LST exploded my plant and my Afghan Kush is a big mama :D

I used a different method of lst.

I let mine get bigger, then tie the top down for a week or so. I had to re-tie the tops down every couple of days because they keep moving the tie and or gaining length to the point in which it would start heading up toward the light again. I have a couple PK all with between 7-11 tops. As long as the plant thinks it has lost its auxin (I believe this is the proper term) it will focus its energy on the side branches enabling them to catch up with the main shoot.

I would like to see pics of this method though...

These pictures are basically at step 7-10 in the first figure above.

One note about LSTing here.. Transplanting after LSTing is a BITCH. I almost ripped my main Afghan Kush up transplanting :o

If you are planning to LST, I recommend doing it in the pot you plan to use from beginning to end!

The last picture shows the vertical growths ready to become main colas!
