UK needs harsher penalties for intent to supply and growing on a commercial scale. In fact everyone just wants to have a bit for themselves, no one wants some prick going around selling it cause he's too lazy to get a job.

Class B, Possession with the intent to supply = max 14 years.

You get less time for murder.

You obviously haven't been reading the newspapers i've seen so many people get like a 280 pound fine and so many hours community service for 30 odd plant's and admitting they were going to sell some to pay for electric etc... intent to supply class B especially cannabis you'll get probably 6 month, you will only get close to 14 year's if you are caught supply kilos

Sentencing policy depends on a lot of factors, judges will sentence based on what they think. I was fined for possession when I was a teenager and because of my circumstances the judge only fined me £60 (which was still a lot of money to me in those days). But he said, "your punishment will be your criminal record", and he was right. I went to Uni, graduated, and have never been able to get a job relating to my degree due to unspent convictions. Many a door was closed in my face.

There was a weed bar opened in Leith in Edinburgh, but again it was clsoed the same day I believe....I am sure it had Purple in the name, lol...

You know what? It's not enough most parents don't raise their kids properly, but on top of it expose them to adult activities at such a young age which results in the government tightening their laws and making stuff like marijuana legalization an extremely long and painful debate even for medicinal use. From the time you got kids walking around the street with a bottle of jack daniels and smoking spliffs then throwing that bottle on the road or at passer bys, then decide to mug an elderly person at knifepoint to go and pick up another 8th, and once they get back home they start acting like angels in front of their mother who sits her ass down doing fuck-all just claiming money off the benefit system telling police, "oh my son would never do that, he's like an angel", then he gets a slap on the wrist when he gets caught; do you really believe the government haven't already taken a look at this and told themselves they have enough problems with alcohol, imagine if they had access to weed the same way they have access to alcohol?

If you can't grow it, you shouldn't be able to smoke it. Learn how to give instead of only take.

You are such a fool, that's normal where i'm from it's not caused by alcohol etc... if man are starving they might have no choice but to go out robbing
I don't personally i chose to grow...
But your saying it like they don't have access to 8ths anyway

Some people don't have a consciousness. Simply because their parents didn't tell them right from wrong. There's also the part where they listen and copy what their parents do, and also the relapse of what happens in their life that they have seen once and find so fascinating. Kids are like a mirror, they reflect what they learn. Then as they grow older, what they took for granted and not corrected on, becomes a part of them, and no matter how long you take to tell them it's wrong, it's like cutting a huge piece out of their life, which obviously is impossible. This is why rehabilitation doesn't work, because instead of correcting them, all it does is it let's them know that the same thing is gonna happen unless they find a way around it, which is much easier than completely changing who they are, this is why they can't find a job, because it's their choice to carry on re-offending rather than moving on with their lives. Once you get comfortable doing wrong, you won't feel comfortable anywhere else. This is because doing evil is more acute for humans than doing good.

That's a very good quote about rehabilitation but it kind of does work not many people want to spend their life in there
The streets change people especially rough council estates i'm not saying your stush and have been spoilt but some people don't understand what it takes to motivate someone to become like that, i've seen very nice people change in the click of a finger to complete wankers but if there was jobs for everyone to make there p respectfully would so many people have took part in the riots?
1. Everyone wanted to fuck the police up because they are dicks (I constantly get stopped and search and harassed) They claim it's procedure but they have no fucking right to stop and search me because i'm a known cannabis user walking to the shop!
2. Unable to find work, government closing down connections (THE STUPIDEST THING FUCKING EVER) all has a knockon effect, unlimited immigration from europeons so the little jobs we had are now gone news saying the other day after recovering from the recession were now in a double ditch recession. so when some people start rioting the people who have jobs go home and enjoy there few days off while the hungry head off to currys etc and get free shit, the shit they aren't lucky enough to have they now have i wouldn't be suprised if everyone started rioting again.

Police are just doing their job. Just like you are doing yours. If growing for personnel use ever does get decriminalized, you will still get stopped and searched, nothing will change. I know a community police officer that confiscates drugs from youths and then gives them to her sister's husband because he's a user. The only way to change your lifestyle is to leave the country. Spain is full of brits, and cheaper, ever consider moving there?
