There\'s so much pressure on the fighters to win that they play the game too conservatively and we end up with these lame ass fights with no clear winner.

Haha wow, two people with different opinions, both strongly held, and yall don't agree? Never would've thought.. Although I didn't see the fight, the challenger needs to clearly be the winner, not just compete at the same level and come out standing.. I doubt Machida will remain long and I doubt Rua would've either, this weight class has gone crazy lately and now with Silva in the mix who knows what'll happen.

Indeed. Its funny some people say he is all hype.. Go look at who all he was fought and see how many highly ranked fighters he has taken on.. Alot, I say Brock is the only all hype one.. Who the hell has he fought besides Mir and Couture, a 50 yr old man... I don't get it, yeah the dudes a monster but he is a professional fighting newb with the mentality of a WWE tool..

Shogun won every round of that fight I was stunned when they said Machidas name.



I was watching it online and the chatboard the whole 5th round every single person was commenting "shogun got this in the bag" "He won this one" "Machida needs a knokout to win" ect

That sucks to hear then..I will watch it tomorrow probably.. I think alot of bullshit goes on in the UFC and I sometimes question the legitimacy of it.

The UFC did alot for the sport but in my opinion now its to mainstream, it corrupts everything.. I wish we had todays caliber of fighter in the UFC that once was, or in Pride... Really just anything thats entire basis doesn't revolve around hype.. I totally understand Fedor for not wanting anything to do with the UFC.
