Make an effort dude,

Yeah Man. I'm very new to this site but myself and many others here would easily be able to give you an educated guess..However,if you only put forth the amount of effort into your garden that you put into your response..I would have to say you probably wouldnt even have to worry about harvesting...

At most you'll get is 7 to 8 oz with that much light. You figure each watt of light gets most people anywhere from .5 to .8 grams per watt (.8 an 1 gram being near perfect). Since you're a noob we'll say .5 grams per watt. That means you'll in theory harvest 200 grams divid that by 28 (there are 28 grams in an ounce) and you get 7.14 ounces. You'll need more light if you want to hit 12 ounces man.

How much is a zip?

Forget the CFLs, nice for brightening the sides. 400 W HPS - figure 0.25 grams per watt your first grow; up to 0.5 g/w once you've got a few grows under your belt; 1 gram per watt when you have your growing game down solid; 1+ gram/watt when you advance and do scrog type grows, light movers, CO2, etc.

Marijuana flowers well under 50 watts HID per square foot - with good reflection. With 400 W HPS you get 8 square feet, or a foot print of about 36" x 30". Your plants each get a footprint of about 18" x 15". Use tomato cages to keep them tight, or sog or low stress training.

A 400 Watt HPS penetrates the canopy about 12". Tall plants will be a waste with a small wattage light. Think SOG, SCROG or CCOB. You must keep your plants short.

I will say that I know someone who yields over two pounds of dried goods per every 600 watts..Now that just ends up being an average. What I'm saying is that the 600 watt HPS was not the primary source of light. The co2 ppm being around 100 to 300. He just pulls in fresh air and extracts from the opposite end..The system he uses really is very simple. The strain is Dutch Passion Power Plant.. Maybe you want to switch your strain to see better results..And that comment Im making with having know knowledge of Shiva Shanti...Just figured Id post it..Maybe raise your moral. Best of luck bro

I regularly get 8-12 ounces from my 400 watt HPS. I use a homebox s 31.5 x 31.5 x 63inch tall. I have between 7 or 8 plants in there at a time. I veg them under just one blue 125 watt cfl for 1 month in 1 gallon containers. Then I put in 2 gallon containers under the 400 hps. the homebox s fits exactly 9 2 gallon containers but I always have a small fan on floor to help prevent mold so I fit up to 8. Always get 8-12 ounces.. like Hobbes said, keep them small. I use ocean forest and fox farm nutes a little liquid karma, a little cal/mag and thats it.

Yes, a zip is an ounce. Maybe it does come from the fact most people use Ziplocs or similar, idk.
