Yeah, not surprised: whatever else Wade may be, he’s become a distraction from some extremely important business.

Kudos to McAfee for making the only reasonable move
I do wish GA. had a capable Prosecutor on the bench though,Fanni is good, she's tough to,and EXTRA motivated now. That said the defense is going to harp all over her for this. It's complete BS(2 consenting adults),but that's Trump's playbook,HIJACK the narrative,DISTORT,DISTRACT.Here's a guy,a sitting PRES.in the open on the line pressuring to INVENT fraudulent votes to STEAL a state(GA)ON TAPE!!!!!!.AND now it's about 2 state prosecutors in the sack and pillow talk.Classic Trump FLIP THE NARRATIVE,it is unFKN believable and makes me want to puke, just step back and look at this FOLLY,A pres. caught on tape openly trying to STEAL a election has morphed into 2 adults being criminalized/villified for hopping in bed, what a FKN HOUDINI.

I didn't in any way mean to imply that you were accusing me of that,I just honestly wanted it out there that this kind of morphed into me posting in politics in what we can all agree are not typical times in our country. I've stated many times that I cruised through life as a very un-political person, didn't vote until 2020 and live in a bluer than blue state. Over those yrs. I did not participate I did get accustomed to certain norms and decorum in our politics and to see this absolute fake from NY piss all over everything I grew to know is what lit my fire. I apologize if you were offended thinking I was refuting what you said. It's a one thing led to another deal, initially for me it was about rapping about cannabis, that said I've come to be pleasantly surprised by the intellect of some members, there are some really deep intelligent people here, certainly enough to blow away misconceptions about marijuana use. I also miss some of the people who've been banned, but that's none of my business as to the reason/s

Trump lawyers: Securing full $454 million bond ‘practical impossibility’ in NY fraud case
Former President Trump’s lawyers indicated in a court filing Monday that he is unable to secure the full $464 million bond due in his New York fraud case, a matter that one insurance broker called “a practical impossibility.”

Attorneys for Trump and his co-defendants in the case said it was “impossible” for them to secure the full amount for an appeal bond in a filing with the state’s intermediate appeals court.

Defendants’ ongoing diligent efforts have proven that a bond in the judgment’s full amount is ‘a practical impossibility,’” the lawyers wrote, citing an affidavit signed by an insurance broker who testified for Trump during the trial last year.

Trump’s attorneys claim they have spent “countless hours negotiating with one of the largest insurance companies in the world” and have approached 30 companies to back the bond, efforts they said they were pursuing before the judgment was made.

“The amount of the judgment, with interest, exceeds $464 million, and very few bonding companies will consider a bond of anything approaching that magnitude,” Trump’s lawyers wrote.

Trump was ordered to pay a staggering total of $454 million earlier this year in a verdict issued by Judge Arthur Engoron. Trump is currently appealing the judgment, but the total amount will continue to gain interest while that process plays out.

It seems out of touch with reality that he thinks he can simply demand a hearing on a matter with so many precedents that it should already be settled. Then again, how he managed to avoid consequences for his actions for so many decades seems unreal to me.

So, IDK, maybe he'll get that hearing and push out the date until stock in his $4 B valuation (his estimate) for the stock he owns in TMW becomes available for sale. I'm waiting for that dog shit encrusted shoe drops.

Fani is still under the microscope. I find this article to be worded in a provocative manner and somewhat hostile.

Even so, the statement that people will “leave no stone unturned” in the continuing effort to besmirch her character is likely correct.

i have to agree with you about the hostility within the article.

IMO she will be under that verbial microscope all the way till the end of the trail, the orange dummy will try to do his best to derail these proceeding as much as possible....with that said, i don't see Mr Willis not going without a fight...

speaking of microscopes.....just in:

Donald Trump and his co-defendants in the Fulton County racketeering case are demanding that Judge Scott McAfee reconsider his decision that District Attorney Fani Willis can remain on the case.

McAfee ruled last week that, lead prosecutor Nathan Wade is removed from the case, Willis could remain. He had been considerign an ethics complaint from the defendants concerning a romantic relationship between the two.

"The March 15 Order is of exceptionally great importance to this case, substantially impacting Defendants' rights to due process. Additionally, given the lack of guidance from the appellate courts on key issues, and the fact that any errors in the March 15 Order could be structural errors that would necessitate retrial(s), the grant of certificate of immediate review is both prudent and warranted," Monday's nine-page filing says.

"Basically, they want permission from Judge McAfee to appeal his ruling on DA Willis' disqualification," explained reporter Tamar Hallerman of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Trump was cited along with co-defendants Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, Robert Cheeley, Michael Roman, David Shafer, Harrison Floyd, and Cathleen Latham in the paperwork.

Commenting on the matter on social media, former prosecutor Joyce Vance explained, "For there to be an unusual interlocutory appeal — one that occurs before trial — requires approval from Judge McAfee, who has until Monday. If he blesses an appeal, it's still up to the Court of Appeals to decide if it wants to take the case."

"A little tea-leaf reading," she continued, "although it's nothing certain: Judge McAfee dropped a footnote in his opinion dismissing 6 counts in the indictment last week saying he’d permit an appeal. He didn’t do that with the disqualification motion. Make of that what you will."
McAfee's dropped the indictments, saying they were too vague, though several others remain. That decision was separate from the hearing regarding Willis' disqualification.

Critics called the appeal request another case of Trump attempting to delay things, while others pointed out that innocent people don't make moves like that.

Trump's lawyers alleged that Willis' relationship with Wade resulted in gifts paid for with his salary from Fulton County. Willis disputed the accusations and told the court she repaid Wade in cash, a story substantiated by her father and a winery server.
