TRUMP CONVICTED

Now is the time to throw some popcorn in the microwave and listen to all the excuses of why he's not guilty or why it's someone elses fault, even through he was found guilty on ALL 34 counts. Truthfully the jury didn't take a lot time to come back with a verdict on 34 counts, I've been on a juror on couple felony trials, and we deliberated longer than that (and the cases I was on were literal "Slam Dunks". The ex-cheeo in charge will blame the judge, the jury, his lawyers, the homeless, immigrants, and/or some vast conspiracy. The guy always has to have a scapegoat, because to the best of his recollection he's never been wrong, he thought he was wrong once, but he was mistaken.

It is however, doubtful he'll do any time, which is unfortunate!!!!
There is a small chance that he will violate his gag order badly enough to merit some quality time.

actually they don't, in NY i believe the judge can consider them during sentencing, which would prolly add more time possibly.....we'll see what happens...it's up to the judge now
The judge can use past violations of the gag order in sentencing, that is for sure. The normal process is for the judge to lift the gag order post verdict, though I do not believe the judge has done that yet.

I thought I'd be happy, but nothing has changed. :(

NeoHitler is still free, still lying, still tearing apart the US, and still eligible for the highest seat in the land. Y'all are still moving closer to a fascist dictatorship.

You aren't wrong in what you say but miss a whole 'nother side to this. Trump's acquittal would have been gold to his campaign. Even a hung jury would have been touted as a win by his campaign and endlessly used to voice grievance over election interference.

But not only did NY's case against him win convictions, which required all 12 to agree that the evidence was convincing. Unanimously convincing on all counts beyond a reasonable doubt. There wasn't a single count upon which even one juror disagreed that the prosecution proved beyond a doubt that Trump was guilty of the crimes.

So, yes, Trump's free to continue to do all he has been doing but he's not free to do one thing. He cannot say the jury found him innocent. And that means something to the electorate. It's not a big thing. It's a small thing. But it matters.
