TRUMP CONVICTED

So far, the secretaries of state have shown deference to the courts on the questions surrounding Trump's disqualification, but they had better make the calls before the state primary deadlines, or other people will. If a state disqualifies Trump, will the SCOTUS reinstate him considering the 2/3s majority in both houses for reinstatement, a provision in the 14th? What if they didn't disqualify him and secretaries of state(s) dug their heels in and demanded a vote in congress for reinstatement?

Some of the reasons why I think Trump will be gone from the race and gone from society once disqualified by the SCOTUS by December. There will be little reason for Chutkan to treat him differently from other criminal defendants then.

Trump calls New York judge a ‘nut job’ for ruling requiring Ivanka to testify
Former President Trump again attacked the New York judge presiding over his civil fraud trial, calling him a “nut job” for ruling that his daughter Ivanka Trump must testify in the case.

In a Truth Social post Saturday, Trump called the judge “Trump hating,” and “unhinged.”

“I truly believe he is CRAZY, but certainly, at a minimum, CRAZED in his hatred of me,” Trump said. “This case should have never started, but now must be dismissed.”
Judge Arthur Engoron ruled this week that Ivanka Trump must testify in the case, despite being dropped as a defendant early on in the legal progress. Trump and his two sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, are expected to take the stand next month.

Ivanka Trump’s legal team argued that prosecutors don’t have the jurisdiction to subpoena her.
“Ms. Trump is not a party in this action. Nor is Ms. Trump a New York resident,” her attorneys wrote. “It is black-letter law that, given those two facts, Ms. Trump is beyond the jurisdiction of this Court.”

The sweeping fraud case accuses Trump and his sons of intentionally manipulating the worth of their business assets in order to get better terms on loans and insurance.

Engoron previously ruled that the fraud occurred, and the trial is set to determine damages. Prosecutors are seeking at least $250 million in financial penalties and to ban the three men from running businesses in New York.

Donald seems more rattled by this than his criminal cases, so he must have a lot to hide concerning his finances, which the receiver is still going through. The Judge ordered Trump to disclose his secret equity partners, I dunno if Trump complied yet. He seems upset about something, he transferred ownership of Mar A logo to Don Jr, but he is in the dock too and personally liable like Trump. It's a business owned by a corporation and the Florida homestead law applies to personally owned residences. I don't know if Donald owns any property himself, everything was company owned to avoid taxes, taxes he has been sued for, they are just totaling up the bill now.

A judge trial starting on Monday? Trump doesn't have to appear at a civil trial, but he will have to be under oath if he wants to refute the accusations in court. Will it be on TV? I believe trails are televised there. Will they call his secret service agents and ask about the choking incident with Trump desperately trying to get to the capitol to personally lead the insurrection? Will Jack help, can he help?

Trump LAST DITCH Effort to Stop DISQUALIFICATION Trial FAILS

MeidasTouch host Ben Meiselas reports on the Colorado Supreme Court’s DENIAL of Donald Trump’s emergency stay to try and block the constitutional disqualification trial from taking place starting October 30, 2023.

I'm not sure why they said it's a longshot, not based on the opinion of most legal scholars and experts I've seen. Certainly not based on the evidence, which is abundant, clear and on which he has been indicted. If the 14th doesn't apply to Trump it doesn't apply to anybody, he tried to physically lead the insurrection until restrained by his secret service agents and driven back to the WH where the limo stood ready to go to the capitol for hours. It will be a bench trial with the judge making the call and CREW has a powerful case.

What to know about the 14th Amendment Trump disqualification trial in Colorado

A trial to determine whether the 14th Amendment’s “insurrectionist ban” applies to former President Donald Trump is set to begin Monday in Denver, a historic but likely long-shot case that could block him from Colorado’s presidential ballot in 2024.

Six Republican and unaffiliated Colorado voters filed the lawsuit in early September with the backing of a liberal watchdog group called Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, or CREW. They’re arguing that Trump is disqualified from serving as president again because of his role in the January 6, 2021, insurrection.

The challengers have scored a series of pretrial victories, defying expectations by defeating several motions by Trump and the Colorado GOP to throw out the case.

The bench trial in Colorado District Court is scheduled to last at least one week. Trump is not expected to attend. He denies wrongdoing regarding January 6, and his campaign said the challengers are “stretching the law beyond recognition.”

“It’s the first domino to fall. We’ve never seen a challenge like this to a presidential candidate, hearings that go for days to evaluate their eligibility,” said Derek Muller, an election law expert at Notre Dame Law School who filed a brief in a similar case that was neutral on disqualifying Trump but gave analysis for key legal questions.

“It’s not a frivolous lawsuit, but it’s not a slam dunk,” Muller added.

Wonder if he inflated this number also? No worry, he scammed more.

Trump says he has $100M in legal fees amid cascade of court battles
Former President Trump said in Iowa that he has more than $100 million in legal fees as he faces a cascade of court battles.
In a speech to supporters in Sioux City, Iowa, Trump claimed he lost billions of dollars going into politics and lamented the cost of his legal fees.

Trump claimed he turned down multiple opportunities to make money during his presidency because, he said, it would be a conflict of interest, and “I have too much respect for the office.”

“It’s cost me a couple of billion dollars to be a politician. Everyone else makes, they make [money]. I said, ‘No, we can’t do that.’ I could have made a fortune. The countries are coming [and saying,] ‘We’d like to build a job and we’d like to have you involved.’ Billions. I say, I tell my kids, ‘Sorry, kids, we can’t do it. I’m president. I respected the office,” Trump said.

“And of course, then they made it much worse with legal fees. I have $100 million worth of legal fees,” Trump said. “And they’re doing good. At least I have good lawyers, because you can spend 100 million and have lousy lawyers too. It happens.”

Trump’s comments come as he faces several civil and criminal cases. The cases have flooded his calendar as Trump presses on in his campaign for president.

The four criminal cases against Trump include two federal cases brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith, who charged Trump with 37 felony counts related to his retention of classified documents and refusal to hand them over. The second case charges Trump with four felonies stemming from his efforts to stay in power after the 2020 election.

Trump was also charged in two state criminal cases – one in Georgia, where Trump faces 13 charges in a RICO case related to his efforts to overturn the election results in that state.

In New York, Trump faces 34 felony counts related to his alleged falsifying of business records in connection to a hush-money payment to Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election.
This past week, Trump has voluntarily appeared in court related to a separate case in New York related to allegedly fraudulent business practices.

Wait, "I respected the office..."?

"At least I have good lawyers, because you can spend 100 million and have lousy lawyers too. It happens.”

Like the last lawyers you chose to believe instead of the ones that told you the truth about the election?

I wonder if Pence will be a witness at his disqualification trial in Colorado starting tomorrow, will others involved testify in the coming weeks? Who will testify for Trump under oath?

Trump mocks Pence for dropping out of race; Pence will have last laugh as witness at Trump's trial.

Former Vice President Mike Pence just announced that he is suspending his bid for the presidency, but vows to keep working to help "principled Republicans" get elected.

At a campaign stop, Donald Trump mentioned that Pence dropped out, and laughed when someone in the crowd yelled, "Traitor!" Trump then said that Pence "could have done what he could have done," an obvious reference to Trump's continued lie that Pence could have and should have violated the law - the Electoral Count Act - and corruptly declared Trump the winner of the 2020 presidential election.

The reality is that Pence will have the last laugh (figuratively speaking) when he is called as a prosecution witness to testify against Trump at his DC trial, about Trump's illegal pressure campaign attempting to get Pence to go along with his (Trump's) criminal scheme.

Spending money on Alina Habba and her partner is throwing money away. "She reminds me of my daughter", or Melania Jr.

"I'm coming after you."

Trump pledges to direct ‘completely overhauled DOJ’ to probe DAs and AGs
Former President Trump pledged Sunday to direct the Department of Justice (DOJ), should he be elected president in 2024, to probe “radical” attorney generals (AG) and district attorneys (DA) and stressed his plan to “completely overhaul” the department.

In a speech to supporters in Iowa, Trump said he would specifically target officials who are practicing “reverse” racism.
“To stop the Marxist prosecutors who release rapists and murderers while persecuting Republicans, conservatives and people of faith like you,” he said, “I will direct a completely overhauled DOJ to investigate every radical DA and AG in America for their illegal, racist-in-reverse, enforcement of the law.”

Trump also pledged to create “a Truth and Reconciliation Commission,” which Trump said will “shed some light on every dark and rotten corner of Washington, D.C., starting with crooked Joe Biden,” adding, “and now we could really do that because they’ve led the path, what they’re doing is so bad to this country.”

Trump has frequently threatened to investigate officials whom he claims are corrupt or whom he claims are targeting him for political purposes. He has also outlined plans to limit the bureaucratic guardrails and increase the president’s authority and power to direct independent agencies as he sees fit.

He has also said in the past that he would investigate President Biden if he returns to the White House. Trump currently is the leading 2024 presidential GOP candidate, but he faces more than 90 charges across four criminal indictments against him.

Trump in Iowa says indictments allow him to retaliate against Biden
Former President Trump said Sunday the federal indictments he faces will allow him to retaliate against President Biden if he beats the incumbent in the 2024 presidential election.

Speaking to a crowd of supporters in Iowa on Sunday, Trump railed against the criminal justice system and accused the Justice Department under Biden of “cheating” and of targeting him for political purposes — an unsubstantiated claim Trump has made frequently.

Trump compared the Biden administration to leaders of “banana republics.”
“They brought our country to a new level, and, but that allows — think of this — that allows us to do it to Biden, when he gets out,” Trump said to roaring applause from the audience. “And that would be very easy.”

Trump then tempered his threat, saying, “But I don’t want to do it. You know, once you, once you do that, you’ve set yourself on a very downward, very bad path. Very bad path, but a thing like this has never happened before.”

Trump also suggested he could have gone after Biden when he was in office, but he said he didn’t because “I had too much respect for the office to hit Joe Biden,” even though Trump said Biden was “the most incompetent president, the most corrupt president, the worst president we’ve ever had. Those are tough words.”

“And I would never have done that until they did something that’s never been done. They indicted a former president,” Trump added. “And the only reason they indicted me is that we’re leading him in the polls. We’re killing them.”
Trump currently faces charges in two federal criminal cases, two state criminal cases and in civil suits. While Trump has claimed the investigations into his actions were a result of his entrance into the 2024 presidential election, he was already under investigation when he announced he would run for president again.

Trump is the leading 2024 GOP candidate, but his jam-packed legal calendar throughout the next year raises some questions about his political fate.

He still hasn't learned that indictments require evidence, like the mountain of it against him, he already tried to jail Biden and any other opposition the last time he abused power. His disqualification bench trial starts tomorrow in Colorado and the NY civil case seems to be moving along faster than most thought with a dollar amount well before December. Almost all the witnesses against Trump for his trials over J6 are republicans, many who worked for him, the same is unlikely to happen to Biden.

Those interested in Donald's disqualification case in Colorado that starts today should have a look at this video. His pick for lawyer there is a dandy and Donald won't testify in his own defense apparently or even show up. I dunno why some media sources describe this as a long shot, it looks like a bullseye to me. If he is disqualified in Colorado, will he appeal? Could someone else appeal for him? If he doesn't appeal, the SCOTUS might not see it and he could end up just disqualified in Colorado or will other states cases also make it to the SCOTUS. Perhaps after the decision in Colorado other secretaries of state will just disqualify Trump and let him sue to get on the ballot. His trouble is if he is the plaintiff in the suit, it opens him up to discovery and being deposed. The trial begins today and should be interesting when we get through the formalities.

Think about it, if he is disqualified in Colorado by their supreme court and doesn't file an appeal to the SCOTUS, what message does that send to other secretaries of state?

Trump SCREWED and HAUNTED by His OWN Lawyer’s Past

Trump’s lawyer to try ban him from the ballot during this week’s Colorado trial to declare Trump an insurrectionist under the 14th Amendment, once was the Colorado Secretary of State and took an exact opposite position and made law that is being used against Trump now. Michael Popok of Legal AF explains what happens when you refuse to show up for your own trial, put no evidence, and hire a lawyer, who made the law that is going to be used against you to find that you’re banned from the Colorado ballot.
