trump deserves as much as any terrorist who is trialed into life in a terrorist prison and have his whole rest of his life torture and worst enviroment a person can live. what a piece of shit but also makes us as a nation look so bad and the time we had him there. It’s soo wrong even tilllthis day he has high level documents and also the fbi begged him when they knew he had mass amounts of secret documents he shouldn’t have . if anything whole system who monitors and also trials such things imo should also be trialed as stepping their toes in democracy. people today are allowing a government to let the,selves loophole and it’s a acceptable manner. I would never see our orginal government approving of this non sense but also wanting it to be this way.

I'm pretty excited to see the GOP self-destruct in the next couple of years. The real question is, will they find a Phoenix to rise from the ashes? Seems like DeSantis is the best bet for a new candidate for the GOP to rally around, if he's willing to take on Trump. I wonder if the GOP primary rules allow the Republican National Committee to pick whoever they want like the dems can; kinda seems like it's a thing for both parties.

Think it's fantastic. Trump is poison and just getting worse, but he had/has a near unshakable hold on enough of the party that they can't get rid of him...and they seem to want to double down on what's losing on the big stage so that's rad.

Looking forward to the infighting and various drama. It's a long shot, but maybe it damages the brand in FL.

I would agree with that because shame is his biggest motivator but 1) he is in survival mode now 2) as a malignant narcissist he underestimates risks, 3) he completely lacks foresight, 4) he must have attention, 5) he has another sadistic opportunity to spite numerous people.

I’m more concerned about the next generation represented by McCarthy, Rick Scott, Lazarus Gaetz and the other mega-maga who got elected and reelected. They’re picking up where the vacuous autocrat left off, with less vacuity.

Yeah, but he had his shot and flunked. No wall. No removal of the undocumented. No end DACA. No lock her up. No pardoning his 1/6 cult. No repeal and replace healthcare. No term limits. No repeal alternative minimum tax. No hiring freeze of federal employees. No drain the swamp, and the list goes on.

He had the fence sitters in 2016. They are now the ones who passed on Lake, Masters, Oz, and almost buried Boebert. Anything he touches now tarnishes. It will be interesting to see if he's going to put a wedge in the GOP or if they're going to kiss his ass again and sink the whole ship. He may even run 3rd party, which would be hilarious.

Yes that’s some of the many reasons why I said things changed and I wouldn’t bet on Trump winning. But then, what you mention are facts and facts aren’t major obstacles for magats or for the gop to survive enough to do damage.

Oh he could fully and easily win the primaries, he still pulls enough of the republican base along with him that he is strong there. Of course he could win in the general election, pulled it off before, but I think the chances of that happening would be much much lower this go around. In 2016 he had lots of generic republican support as he was an unknown quantity. That isn't the case anymore. There are a bunch of people here who voted for him in 2016 but they are now loud critics. He has transformed the party, pushing out moderates and bringing in extremists. While that has solidified his place within that group, it's a group that is bound to fail and shrink, they can't grow their numbers going further to the right as they are up against that boundary all the time and it keeps moderates out.

However...yeah, stranger things have happened. Not to be a conspiracy theorist, but Trump was talking about shit being rigged in 2016, I'm not convinced he didn't cheat then, he has a terrible problem with projection. The stories about trying to gain access to voting machines in 2020 make me think it isnt the first time.

*it actually makes a lot of sense why he won in 2016.

He will lose one way or the other and will take a large chunk of the GOP down with him
The republicans best hope is Garland for cover of the demise of Trump

If Trump loses the GOP nomination, he likely will run third party which will split the GOP and seriously weaken the GOP for at least a couple of election cycles.
