Trouble cooling 4 1000watt hps!

Growing in hell makes sense, but in reality it should just be 16,000 btu of heat coming from the 4 lights. I think ttystikk could likely be right, are your AC units vented to the outside? 2.3 Tons of cooling should have no problem in a sealed room with 4 lights, a dehumidifier and a few other accessories running.
I guess the one other question is, if the air from the light is being vented to the outside where is the air coming from to replace it? Maybe that is where hell comes into the equation...

true story: took the ladder to his above ground pool sunk his havoc under it and turned it on.


you can look in to water chllier's+ radiators if you don't mind condensation dripping on your plants.

That's only for people who don't understand that the dehuey cycle involves heat as much as moisture removal.

You sound like you have some personal experience with environmental water chilling?

no, I do not. I can turn on an A/C, and set a temp.

ive seen all kinds of things done though, the Ice box with ice with two 8'' 90 elbows even held beer!

I'm not good at those things. I use my home A/C and an old server rack spot cooler. I dunno why I said old cause it not really. anyways it works great.

I'm just trying to figure out where you're coming from, here.

Water chilling is substantially more efficient than AC and gets more so the larger the operation. There are more benefits, as well, no need for a list here.

In any case, this poor soul has more immediate problems- I do wish he'd show us a few pics of his setup. We might well help him spot his problem!

@MyNamesNevin bro, can you shoot us some pics? Are your hoods sealed? Where is the a/c located? Pics of front/rear of ac and ventilation layout?

Long story short, its not easy nor efficient using an exhaust system with an a/c system.
It's wasting a but load of power from constantly running and if you've got the condenser in a hot/humid area or not cool/dry enough area then it will make matters much worse!
 
Excuse the loose wires nothing tied down yet just been doing temp test. This is my first grow so all help is greatly appreciate.
My huds are sealed. I have fans blowing across my lights which are both exhausted outside of the room I'm running a fan on each light. My A/C's have insulated ducting on they don't feel hot at all they're also both being exhausted outside. I could put them outside of the room didn't think of it at first but I honestly don't feel that they're giving off much heat at all. Thank you all for your responses.

Draw air from outside your tent. Your fans are mounted directly on the hoods, pulling your air conditioned air out of the tent an probably bringing hot ambient air into the tent...negative pressure. The easy fix would be to connect duct to fans that is run outside the tent but i would recommend rotating the hoods so the duct connections face each other.

This way you use 2 fans and simplify your ducting.

Are you sure that there is enough intake capacity???

When those AC's works they suck abig amount of the air from inside of the tent and push it out throw the back of the unit...
If there is not enough air in the tent I would say that the airco suck that cold air back to the unit and then outside of the tent (just guess).

Try to lower your exhust..

Also the duct from the lamps and the ac must get out of the room that the tent in completly..

Water chilling is an owsome Idea, the only thing that stops me is the uint size and installation....

If I would go with one I would go for OptiClimate,, check it out on youtube TTY..
The opticlimate makes cold air and hot water; my new dual circuit chiller makes both hot and cold running water. This is better for me, as I can now route both circuits to anywhere hot or cold is needed, and still achieve optimal efficiency.
