Top sites loosing smell

Hi all, past few runs I've had this same issue. The top sites seem to loose their smell around week 4/6 of flower whilst the lower sites remain stinking. Currently growing fastbuds auto cheese in lightmix soil and using bac's nute line. Temps a stable 25°c and rh is between 35/40%. Anyone have any ideas, she is in week 3 and she's slowly smelling less

Sulphur is a good addition to help with taste and aroma.

personally I use Epsom salts once a week sprinkled on top of my coco and watered in (just a small pinch)

If you have a fan blowing direct on the tops you damage the terpene.
The environment RH is different than the flowers RH because the fan directly on the buds mixed with light on top you get dry odorless grass.

Oscillation is key and rather than a fan blowing the tops get the entire room to move air.
I will try moving my fans so none are hit directly as I only have static fans not oscillating

Point it to a corner or even at the base of the tent. Spread the airflow..
That's what I would do :blsmoke:

If the terpenes are damaged it is hard to regain that smell in my experience.
But it looks like you're very early in flower so really they won't be smelling crazy until later.

Fix up the environment and clean the plants while they bulk up

Not true. I have a bad ass floor fan blowing across my canopy and always , always always produce stinky lovely tasting bud. Heat is the number one factor in losing terpenes
A floor fan blowing air from below is completely different than a fan on the tops of your bud. Also I am curious how a floor fan is blowing across your canopy anyways

I’m old school HPS maybe someone else could chip in
And you're going to say that you are making some stanky dank with HPS in a tent and a floor fan?

So if my buds are dried after hanging them for 10 days and they go into jars at 62% is there any need to burp ? Hygrometer s in all jars reading 62-63%. They been at 62-63 % for 5 days now.
I don't buy it

You got some good info here. Your conditions are good. I would just move the fan if there is a static one.

The light is high enough imo and truly the majority of smell really packs on later week 7/8

Unless you have some crazy genes that smell it in veg also, always takes a bit to get skunky :blsmoke:

Vegging until the plant is mature would probably help a lot as well. The one in the pic looks early. Unless it’s a auto. In that case I wouldn’t know
Also true - Vegging a plant until it expresses it's genes is proper +1

I just looked again and it's an autoflower so a bit different. But still I agree vegging plants to maturity before flower or breeding.
