Also true - Vegging a plant until it expresses it's genes is proper +1

I just looked again and it's an autoflower so a bit different. But still I agree vegging plants to maturity before flower or breeding.
Yeah with photos I do but unfortunately autos are very unpredictable

And you're going to say that you are making some stanky dank with HPS in a tent and a floor fan?

I don't buy it
It's what everyone flowered with before led so not sure as to why it's doubtful. As for a box fan, still old school. Put it on a table, suspend it from th ceiling wtf ever. Only thing he's doing is paying more for his homegrown via elec bill other than that hps bulbs like the son agro bulb still kick ass.

Yes you are correct. But I don't think they were in small tents where temps are getting too high. They were likely building make shift open rooms and stealing HPS lights from streets and Airplane Hangers :blsmoke:

Also the flavor didn't really come out with kicks until like 2009/2010 when people were able to experiment a bit more openly and dial in plants
I can say from exp I did open room with just venting. The son agro 1000 hps bulb was my baby lol. Tents did not exist, the closest thing there was to a tent were those gay fishtank like boxes with lighting down the sides lol. I don't disagree with points of yours so please don't take any of it wrong. Just saying some of us dialed in long ago on some strains. I was growing purp kush back in the late 90's so there has been a few decent strains around for a while. But definitely the knowledge and strain bases has beyond boomed and things we used to dream of are real now so.. unfortunately HPS is still pretty widely used by older growers. I was hesitant on switching over myself. But I am a cheap bastard when it comes to grows so it was inevitable lol.

That's badass! And not at all I try not to take much in the wrong way. What you said was correct. I'm all for furthering the conversations

Purple Kush! Surely the Pirates had their strains dialed in. That takes balls especially when you say the 90s. I wasn't trying to reference you or anyone in particular about the plants so maybe I misspoke on that. What I was trying to get across is that It was much harder to dial in your work when everything is watching you. Law, community, friends, everything.

Now it's much more relaxing so you have kids with rooms in their parents house pulling 4-5 lbs

I actually edited my first post to omit that part before you responded :blsmoke:

I’m old school HPS maybe someone else could chip in
I got mind-boggling stink 12-in from 720 watts worth of LED.

I think the most important thing is to not give a s*** that the smell comes out of my tent. I am fully legal, my landlord is okay, my neighbors are cool.

So to start off with I open up two sides of the tent, opposite directions, the skinny doors on the side. Just enough space to fit fans to clip on the top to allow airflow at either light level or slightly above light level depending on how high the lights are that day.

On the left side I have a fan pushing in on the right side I have two fans pulling out. This is in addition to my charcoal carbon scrubber exhaust system that is totally meaningless in this environment. That's just for dark time.

On the bottom of the tent I have a high volume hepa filter fan that has duct taped to it and then shoved into my tent and shows up at dirt level. I have actually removed the hepa filter, I only want high-speed air shoving into that tent as fast as goddamn possible. So that means there's a constant whirlwind underneath the canopy.

I have no AC. I have to grow at night. Today's temperature hit 99. The tent probably went around to 85 during it's dark period.

I have one large oscillating fan that points down towards them in a 4x4 tent and they take 3x4 of the space. It's on it all times.

My lights on daytime temps can be anywhere between 75 and 85, with an occasional rare peak to 90. If I attempted to close the tent and not have that ventilation system set up it would be crossing 100 in an hour.

Those terpenes still haven't gotten burnt off. On the other hand I have serious sulfur going in there with the Epsom salts at a tablespoon per gallon, 2 gal per plant weekly. So I'm sure that lemon dog and Ruby skunk are having a blast with it everyday.

I find it interesting no one seems to speak to temps during flower and how they can ruin terp profiles.

And I just read the comment above mine lmfao
What are your recommended temps during flower. Mine sit right on 26°c at canopy level. This is the only reason I don't think the terpene loss is down to heat
