This is called “variegation” and is an incredible mutation

But botanists and other experts from the plant world arrived and cleared up all possible doubts: “It's called ‘variegation’ and is probably one of the most striking mutations that can be witnessed in the cannabis world.” This anomaly occurs when the genes that control the production of chlorophyll are not expressed correctly, giving rise to plants with albino characteristics.

The incorrect expression of this gene yields some beautiful effects

When this mutation takes place there appear plants that are totally white, or with incredible patterns, coloured or colourless. It all depends on the cause of the albinism: if it is due to a double albino gene the whole plant is white. If it comes from a malfunction of the genes that regulate chlorophyll production, it will feature patterns or areas as white as snow.

It either comes from the mom or dad

Hmm my strain I have it on is a shark widow...it came from the WHITE WIDOW...

That's what it looks like it. It's almost as if it spits the leaf in half it it shrinks one side and lightens in color and it is a clone from the plant that did it last crop????

Soooo pretty much just keep a close eye on it and keep on keepin on?? Like I said before that last plant turned out fine I feel buds were nice big n dense tons of crystals and hits ya quick but I have yet to have one that was grown with zero issues and it feels as strong as the blue cheese that was grown with it like I said before I just grow enough for me 2 plants at a time so still learning

Should I move the light closer? It seems like if I put it close to where it needs to be it gets worse so I moved it to like 20in I just feel like it's gonna mess the buds up if it keeps spreading
Interesting! I had the same mutation on a batch of WW from royalqueenseeds !

nothing to worry :)

this mutation has nothing to do with your lights !

And it's not spreading, some leaves will have it and some not !

If you're still on 75%, let the light where it is and set to 100%

Yea your fine OP have you ever seen sap eggs on it? I get this sucretion of sap well its a sugar that the plant cannot produce into food so it pushes it our of the stems....when you see it more with the lights closer is just a Meer coincidence it just comes out at time because of the chlorophyll ...just like you said..keep on keeping on...I do find that it is a magnesium sucking white tho...do you any purple on your stems?

But I say we keep this thread alive! When we're full into flower let's post our variegation buds!! I'd love an albino so bad!

It's going to happen either way the mutation came from either the mom or dad and it's irreversible

I wonder if ww is prone to genetic mutation? Or since everyone has crossed it with every brother, mother, father sister known to man is what's doing this

Inalso think you have a deficiency going on.That being said it does look mutated,at a 7 ph your definatly going to get some lock out,I'd drop that to a 6.5.

The soil is just under 7 normally how do I lower it? Does all that saw dust around the base stuff work?
