Tissue CUlture

For anyone who does tissue culture I have a few questions.

1. What media do you use and do you use hormones on it?

2. If you force an autoflowering plant to form a callus with little rooting or shoots by regulating the hormones, could you keep it indefinitely alive in a jar and then break pices off and move them to rooting media as needed to create a supply of autoflowers from a single pieceo f tisue or seed from a female plant (or fem seed). Just a thought.

I like where your going with this
LOL Thanks. I was just thikning that because the plant doesnt really start its "timer" until it becomes a PLANT and not just a mass of undifferentiated cells that hold the dna, Thats why you can tissue culture annuals and keep them in tc forever if you keep them dviding really small because they renew everytime thy become a new plant

It would also allow people to buy the fem seeds which companies seem to rather push knowing you will have to either hermie or buy more from them, and grow them indefinitely because a tc jae can be kept in a refrgerator for several months before being replated and put back in when the media is drying up and used up. but the plant cells enter a near suspended animation in close to freezing temps without any adverse effects.

Don't try and clone an auto flower thats just a waste of time. They AUTO FLOWER so there gonna be worried about budding more than they are growing roots. Your better off getting seeds from one of the auto flowers, and keep doin it that way.

No I know that they auto flower but that's when they are plants. If you make a callus in vitro they might not start that time and when you put it on shoot/rooting hormone it might begin its cycle as if it came from a seed. The point is to have enough of a clone without buying more seeds because alot are only sold as fems for that reason. To keep you from breeding your own. This way you could at the very least do some breeding and backcrossing with a male lowryder2 or something and get a plant that autos and is almost identical to the fem parent.
