Number one , fuck your neighbors, number two, your absolutely right in terms of not advertising! Don't overthink it. Hang up some shower curtains!,,,,cardboard.....curtains.....some cheap piece of shit. Is your garage temperature friendly , good temp range throughout the year. I hate f'ing tents. I have a huge basement......foam block insulation.......low temp differential throughout the year. I'm stoned again.
no, i have to shut it all down in the summer. It is an insulated garage, so its fine otherwise, but too much heat in the summer than I can deal with without an AC. One day i'll get a minisplit. But for now, i'm a September through May kinda grower. In summer i'm outside with my fruits.

If you gotta go thru all those lengths to disguise the tent, is it really even worth it? I mean the paranoia, anxiety and stress?
Thats a really good point actually. If its legal why not get a cover story of glaucoma or something and stop worrying about neighbors so much? Say your doctor recommended it and that your health insurance wont cover it.
It should be a joy to grow not a big hassle.

I'm more thinking tell the neighbors to mind their own business, if it's legit. If not legit, the hassle wouldn't be worth it for me. Opinions vary though.

You already have more than enough solutions in this thread. I am a home owner myself and I wouldn’t do anything intentionally ill will towards my neighbors like ya know golden rule shit. Although, i would respectfully give two fucks if my neighbors cared about me having a small visible grow enclosed or couple plants. A field in a neighborhood now that’d be a little obnoxious and not very practical. If they’re that worried about a tent then see below. bongsmilie

Since we are running out of unrealistic solutions id like to add something more feasible actually doable: construct a small room hidden behind a waterfall inside your garage just like in that movie i cant remember the name for. They will never suspect theres grow behind it they will just be convinced youve gone insane. You can have the water falling in a closed loop so it gets oxygenated and save on airpumps, or could even have it incorporated into a recycling hydro system. :)

If you really feel it necessary to hide a grow tent in your garage (in a legal State). Make sure you never have a neighbor walk up on you, as your taking a rip off that bong, or right after you put out that J. People need to understand the, " I own this place" law. If you rent I get it. But a 30 year mortgage in a legal state, gives me the right. If I stop in at your house, only to ask why all the bottles are stacked up in your garage, and you say I'm making wine. I am not running around telling people OR thinking differently about you because of that. But if you need to hide it, then..... put some stickers like you see in any garage. ( Dewalt, Lowes, Home Depot, Craftsman). Set a few paint cans by the door, if you have a paint sprayer set it out. Then lie to them and tell them it's a small paint booth. Carry on.

I understand the concern, rippers still exist even in a legal state. Does the garage have windows? I'd be more worried about someone noticing the extremely bright (possibly distinctly colored) light when you open the tent.

Other than that, don't overthink it. When's the last time you saw into someone's garage from the street and payed attention for long enough to even register what objects were in there? Put the tent on the side wall of the garage and lean a sheet of plywood against it, done.

I have changed my mind about the seriousness of this topic. I had not thought about the rip factor and now you all have me tweakin on security for a future outside grow.

I do not think I would be a candidate for a person driving by snatching a plant. I do think 3 guys in a stolen pickup could drive into the fence and pick the whole lot up in 30 seconds.
You know I used to be a people person but people done ruined that for me.......
