Small update

Just checked the tracking on the last of my PC fans and other parts needed to finish building the grow box.
Everything is due this week. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll have the box completely setup the way I want it with MUCH better air flow/circulation and I'll be able to test all of my PH/PPM alot more accurately.

Man she's really punishing me for not paying attention. Oh well, the most I can do until the PPM/PH meter's come in is feed it with plain bottled water.
If you look at the baby side branches you can see that it's still growing at least. I have to say tho, I'm not 100% sure if it's the strain or the PC grow box but DAMN this plant is being a fussy bitch!

@rickylaging - here's what my drainage is like in this pot.

Flicking between yesterday's photo's and today's I think it's safe to say that I've at the very least slowed down whatever was causing the leafs to turn brown.
My guess is still chlorine/nute burn combined.

I love waiting for shit in the mail getting it is like sex for a moment then it fades
Haha! Yeah but if we're using that analogy I've been waiting that long that I have postage blue balls! I'm soo sick of listening to the fan in this thing.

I'm glad to see the baby is still hanging in there!

Brown edges can be caused by a number of things; however an overall dark green color is almost always indicative of Nitrogen toxicity. I'm placing my bet on nute burn. I can't imagine how much chlorine your tap water would need to cause such devastation, too.

Just continue to do things right, and the first leaves' troubles will be just a memory =)

I tend to agree with you. I'll be very interested in seeing how far out my TDS meter is once my new one gets here.
The only reason why I'm thinking of chlorine is that the last time I was growing my tap water had zero chlorine, which is why I didn't think twice about using tap water this time.
When it did finally click i stopped and actually smelt the water from my tap, and yes, I'd never noticed until now just how chloritic an odour it gives off.

The first side branches looked healthy enough to me so I topped the plant today. I know it's a bit early compared to what a lot of other people might say but with the lack of space in this cab and the possibly ambitious mainlining I want to carry out, I think it's about due. And to be honest if this poor tortured little plant has lived through all this a haircut should be a walk in the park!

Best of all THE LAST OF MY PARTS SHOWED UP FROM CHINA!!!!!1!!!1!11!!!one!!!!!
I've got work tomorrow, but right afterwards I plan on giving this cab a significant revamp.
With any luck my meters will show up tomorrow as well and I'll be able to see just how off my PPM's and PH is.

I'm not sure if you can really tell the difference but the side branches are definitely more developed compared to yesterday.
A good sign that it's already recovering from being topped.

I did have one thought tonight...
I still don't know the sex of this plant. I'd hate to spend all this time topping and mainlining and then it turns out that it's male.
I'm thinking that I might leave it at one topping and as soon as the 2 tops have grown enough LST them down and out to the side then flip it over to 12/12. single topping + LST plan.pngIMG_1343.JPG IMG_1345.JPGIMG_1346.JPG

The photo's revealed something today that I couldn't make out by naked eye.
Have a look at the close up of where I've topped the plant, there's 2 new tops growing from there.
This is something I've learned today. I always thought the next set of branches down became the new tops, turns out it can grow whole new tops from the highest node even if they weren't at all formed at the time of topping.

No not yet, just haven't had the time alone to pull everything out and put it together without it being discovered.
nute burn, flush it with RO or low ppm water,
Yeah that's been everyone's suspicions for the last week or so. I've already flushed it out with about 1.5L of pure bottled water, it seems to have stopped it. All the new growth is doing really well.
I mentioned it in another post but I suspect that my TDS meter is way out, I ordered a new one last weekend and I'm still waiting on it. When it gets here I'm going to test some water with both meters and see just how far out it is. Until then it's not getting anymore nutes.

You totally should try it man, as long as it's still in vedge it's probably one of the best high stress training you can do to your plants. I was actually a bit worried that with all the complications this thing has gone through that it might kill it but it's bounced right back! Perfect example of the old saying "It's just a weed that wants to thrive"

id love to have a crack at making one of these stealth cases or boxes lol, maybe with an rw75 led panel in it though, or a kessil unit.

Like I just said, I've ordered new ones, I already had a TDS meter and some PH test strips but seeing as they've both spent 10 years in a draw it seem's they're no longer accurate.

Those little tops are sprouting very quickly, the side branches are really getting there as well. Not long now and it'll be 12/12. Maybe a week and a half to 2 weeks at most I'd say. IMG_1353.JPGIMG_1354.JPG IMG_1356.JPG IMG_1357.JPG
