Timing Question

Hey all,

I'll be harvesting my first ever plant over the first weekend in May. I took off the Friday before (May 3rd), so it'll be a three-day weekend for me. Since this is my first plant and first harvest, I really want to take my time and enjoy/savor the experience, but having never anything like this before, I don't know what to expect as far as timing.

Are there any usual time-sucks, typical hiccups, etc., that I should be aware of?

By the way, as for supplies, I've got pruning shears (the ones with the longer, narrower blades, not the short, fat blades), hangers, clothes pins, cardboard boxes, glass jars, some herb to smoke while cutting, and . Anything else you'd recommend?

Don't forget the smell. You and your room will hopefully stink, so be aware. Otherwise you seem to have everything you need, except tunes. Have fun.
