Time to chop?

Is this Cinderella 99 ready to be harvested?

This post is actually from my journal, but I need some quick answers so I started a new thread hoping you guys can tell me if its time to chop for sure. Upon clipping a sugar leaf and looking at it 100x I came across some amber trichomes which im pretty sure is a sure sign of harvest, but alot of white hairs are still poppin, but I think they will always pop. Please let me know if its time to chop, and if so, I have another question. :)

It was hard to view, but I did spot an amber on a calyx.
Ok, next question, the lower buds are sparse, is it ok to only chop the dense buds and leave the sparsely ones on the bottom grow some more? If you can do that, where do I go about chopping the bud off.. closest to the bud or all the way down where the stem starts? Thanks

When my plant is done I cut completely and trim, hang, dry, cure, smoke

take it all down, they get all weird if you chop the main colas and leave the lowers. I've done that and it kind of morphs ugly. my .02 e bay has the little washing machines to make hash for $69... thats what i'm gonna do w the lower stuff if it isnt smokeable.

btw... read your whole thing here. well done!!

typically u watch the trychs for ripeness and amber starts the degradation process and its a fine line. ive got two in the same spot right now but im giving them a few more days cuz of white hairs. i normally cut on day 63 and these are on 71. all too much amber will do is make a more body high, couch lock buzz

I want the uppity high, and I always said I would chop once I seen ONE amber, but there is alot of amber as I'm checking every bud when I cut them down I'd say for every 10 trichomes there are 1 - 2 amber.

Thats cool, my bottom buds are not done just yet, and i've read about people using the technique of harvesting twice.

I have tried it and it was a complete waste of time.
They don't get any bigger, they do mature some but hell it is just little whisps anyway, doesn't really make a difference.
When I cut now, I cut it all.

Dry ice hash is a great way to use your butter buds and leaf trim you get a good return and it smokes great after a good cure. 220 um bubble bag and a chunk of dry ice. Blam.

wear rubber gloves to avoid the stickies. i always have 3 pairs of snips 2 soaking in 91 alcohol then when 1 gets gummed up in it goes and take out a fresh one, wipe it off and you're good to go.

Wear gloves. Also make sure you have a razor blade handy scrape the buildup off your sizzors and top a bowl with it sizzor hash is the best part of trimming. :joint:
