you don't use reflectors in vertical growing because the plants are on all sides of the light typically.. if you are aiming down you want the bulb horizontal... that reflector will reflect more light but put out less direct light.

horizontal is better for rectangles like 2x3 and your vert reflector would be good for squares...

you can always run multiple horizontal bulbs to get wider coverage

This reflector is for a squae area say 4x4 it supposedly focuses an even more intence light pattern down with the benifits of air cooling.
