Power Par / Apache Tech /BML / Osram to name a few.

Hell save your customers some money then and stock Chinese high bays. Cut out the middle man. Same damn light and they are UL ETL. Contact Topten led on alibaba I bet they will sell you the exact same light to the T for 1/2 or less.
Why don't you order an alibaba high bay and see if has the same output? Make a liar out Spectrum King if you are so certain. After all you are starting up your own light company. Invest in some mud slinging research.

Osram = over 2x the cost to match wattage and beat foot print (maybe).

ApacheTech = about 2x the cost and uses about 1.7x the power. Great output and foot print, but really overpriced IMO.

BML Spyder = Which one? The 1200 costs almost 2x as much at $2400 ands uses 1.5x the power at 675w. And it grows weird plants. I'm personally not a fan of the product this light produces.

You do realize that one 450 watt sk model will NOT provide the equivalent to a 1K DE or 1 apache 600 ?
Very much so.
That is why, for the same price (roughly), 2x SK would have a better output than the AT600 using about 25% more energy and blow a DE out of the water for 20% less energy, way less heat and a far superior spectrum to both.

so two SK units is about same cost as one apache. and will use more power (900 watts vs apache around 680) and won't have the nice spread of the apaches. you really need to turn off the salesman.

In stead of trying to convince everyone else what a gem SK is,just buy one yourself and document a grow and prove the doubters wrong. Youtube is filled with bogus videos.
No bro. I've seen alien spacecraft landing on a YouTube video. Pretty sure YouTube uses mi6 to fact check all videos. The aliens are here.....I think SK got their unknown super technology from some of those landings. Damn I should get paid for this!

Hell who do you think showed them how to harness zero point energy in the first place lmao.

His quote also seems to apply to chinese lights and Sk. May be except last line

Compnies should proudly disclose what bin they use. That is as long as they are using high bins. SK wants to say cree brand partner everywhere but nothing about bins.
Sorry my opnion is just baised becuase i dont like his hair

Thanks for all the par charts and testing.

I agree but even if they used top bin the SK is not a 1000 watt replacement like they claim. If it was close it would be a different story but it's not and the chart says so as well. All led companies could either provide a industry standard chart or disclose what Bin/LEDs they are using. When they provide neither then they probably aren't too proud of the results. In SKs video they claim 1.8 g/w with the regular 400 with xbd. If it is true then that is an amazing grower. The funny thing is they didn't achieve what most skilled growers do with the gavita. I mean when I first saw that video I wanted to believe. I even told a couple of friends about them. I started to pull the trigger until I came to my senses and did a little research. It really is hard to offer a great product at a decent price. If SK didn't try to bullshit people with the 1000 watt replacement claims then maybe I could respect them a little more. The whole problem with led is there have been so many bullshit claims. Maybe if they claimed 600 replacement that might be more realistic.

There is no comparison. Apache's don't cost $2400...who pays full msrp for anything in life.
But what do I know about sacking up and buying things to test...

If any commercial ops(any more I should say) want PLC lights, they can be ETL'ed in 2 week plus some $$$. Otherwise CE will do. Hell...if the order is big enough they will fully build out a design and get it approved. ETL, and UL both have "field certs" for small production/one time builds. Apache has done it...and I'm sure many other companies would too. One full operation can be as many lights as all the little closet growers all year. Almost any company would be happy to satisfy one big operation then bust their ass for one and two light sales...real legit grow operations(100-1500 1000w hps) are definitely worth.

NOTE: the SK 400+ uses (40) MK-R's with (14)630 xpe2's and (2) xpe 660's. They used to drive the xbd's at 350ma...not sure on these.

Although you might be right , I still don't see any LED's that can fit a commercial application. Price wise and coverage wise they are just not there. If you know otherwise please enlighten me.

AT600. Rebates and/or an actual commercial grow budget...not a guy who stepped up from a spare bedroom to a cheap warehouse trying to pinch pennies just to get it setup.

Well PLC and my upcoming lights would both be commercially viable. In a new build out there are more considerations than just light wattage. Cost of AC build out is reduced as well as electrical build out. Not pulling my own chain but with air cooled led AC load is much more than cut in half. Try 75%. On top of that figure 2.2 umol/w to the canopy vs 1.4 umol/w with a gavita and the picture starts getting clearer. Then at the 1 year mark buy all new bulbs and reflectors and related labor to change them all. ROI is one year or less. So unless the commercial grow plans to fail then it really is a no brainer. Heck we haven't even got into quality either.

Think you talking prices that we will never get a return on investment with, 100 lights at 2500$? That's 250,000 startup just on lights. And while I know LEDs last longer nothing is forever and those would need to be replaced. I know 2 places that use LEDs one has junk Chinese ones and used them for a grow then got rid of them , the other is growing a side room with helio spectra's they are called Pink House from Denver CO, but like I said its just a side room , a full setup is just out of the budget.
