Ok sweet. I found an open box 20 bottle koolatron for 120$. Good deal right?Correct
As long as it works it’s a good deal, the average price seems to go up daily, I just looked and they average $300 and up new. Maybe they will go on sale Black Friday.Ok sweet. I found an open box 20 bottle koolatron for 120$. Good deal right?
Is it single or dual zone?Ok sweet. I found an open box 20 bottle koolatron for 120$. Good deal right?
I posted a pic of it , looks like the same one hook daddy used in the first post right? Single zone 20 bottleIs it single or dual zone?
Where'd you get those shelves?I don't see where it states what the metal is. They are certainly cheaper then mine:

These are mine 304 SS and completely dishwasher safe.

To be honest I’ve never checked the power pulled for the cooler and dehumidifier. The dehumidifier works just part of the time, probably averaging 50% of the time through an entire dry/ cure cycle. You can control how fast it dries, and I guess you could get it smokable in 5 days, but I run mine to dry over a 2-4 week or so time frame, then cure a few weeks to months. I let it go slower if I don’t have another harvest ready to go in.Questions for you DIY guys
1. How much power does the fridge use? I know its 70W + dehum, but is it running all the time, or cycles 1/4 of the time?
2. How long after putting the bud in the fridge is it ready to smoke? I think the cannatrol claims it is smokable within 5 days but I am skeptical.
What size fridge did you get? I'm not sure any thermoelectric cooler is any bigger than a cannatrol. I ran out of space un my 20.bottle fridge and I have an earth box in a 1.5' x 3' footprint so not a large canopy.Well I just ordered a fridge and inkbird. May slap an arduino on it in the future... we will see.
I emailed Curidor which looked like a competitor to Cannatrol but at $400 price... but they don't have a dehumidifer at all... its literally a wine fridge. Period. You have to condition the room. Their website leaves that out
I can't quiet justify a $1800 cure fridge that would hold 1/6 of my harvest at a time... I mean... shit the most expensive grow equipment I have is my $800 lights... this would be the most expensive unit by far in my room. haha
I usually have an easy time drying. This unit would just make a bit easier when the weather goes wacky here
keep in mind when you drill a hole that the inside of the fridge is concaved so the back wall thickness is not the same as the front. but putting the hole around the ground marker is pretty safe.Working on mine today. I was thinking the dehu would work better up high but then I wouldn't be able to strip it down and let it drain thru the floor. I think I'm gonna do it just like hook daddy did. I tried to figure out a way to not drill a hole thru the fridge but I don't see one
I like the way you rolled the screen up, that would prevent the buds from rolling off the sides. Do the racks still slide in and out like that?Im also working on mine today, putting the bbq grill screen on the shelves atm. they are perfect size you can cut them into almost like little traysView attachment 5348183
they sure do !I like the way you rolled the screen up, that would prevent the buds from rolling off the sides. Do the racks still slide in and out like that?
