I actually am looking into the private security sector.. bearing arms is my calling
I was a security guard for awhile..unarmed...it wasn't a bad job...I was just there to lower whatever companies insurance more so than secure anything though.

Yeah, I am still on the simple cartoon characters stage...
I have no artistic ability at all really...I can do some pretty cool things with 3d mediums, but nothing with paint and pencils and what not...I can make some crazy awesome sculptures...anyway, My husband knows I like tattoos, and he want's me to stop growing pot...so he bought me a tattoo machine hoping that I would get interested in that instead of MJ...
So, it was literally a nonsensical shot in the dark...either way all those tattoos..the rose, I didn't think looked bad, and the start wars type gun thing looked star wars-y...

To tell you the truth having the machine and no idea how to use it, and having no artistic propensity for flat mediums just kind of makes the whole thing frustrating...then as soon as I do a few on myself that don't look terrible then all my friends are like hey give me a tattoo...and it's like No..I have no idea what I am doing...Lol.
For all the ppl that try to trash talk my art, all I gotta say is that its good enough for me to be the lead artist in a tattoo shop that got plenty of traffic... and I make plenty of money, so any attacks on my art just make you look like a cockroach to me. And Missnu, if your really interested in it you should take some of your art and show it to different artists and see if you can get an apprenticeship.

I have 3 kids...and no art...lol.
I don't have the time to go to a tattoo shop to get a tattoo myself...let alone the time to work in one...

I just don't understand shading...It is either colored or not for me...So solid colors of easy pictures I can do without too much issue...but even knowing how to adjust the damn machine right would be a start...I mean I can adjust it, but I just don't know if it is right you know?
I just use whatever setting leaves the line I want...
I'm like a caveman with a bic lighter...

and to color in something solid you have to go over it and over it and over it...I feel as though that is not normal either...
Anyway, your tattoos look good to me... It isn't as easy to do a tattoo as one might think...all manner of grommets and rubber bands, and little turn-y things and what not...lol

I do love being able to just buzz something on me when I get the whim though...I love the process...it takes away a lot of the relaxation factor when I do it to myself at home though...
but I love love love to get tattoos...and am too broke to pay someone else...so it seemed like a perfect learning opportunity...What I need to get is some super cheap ink that fades out after a few months...that way if I do anything heinous I know I won't have to look at it long...
You can practice with water. I got the biosynthesis of thc on my leg. I couldn't see what he was doing when he finished the tattoo he wrote a funny little message on my leg in water. It healed up in about 2 weeks and you cant see anything!

kaendar, having better tattoos than what you manage to put out makes us like cockroaches to you?
Seriously, look at that skeleton sleeve. Then go back to that rose you posted... then back to my tattoo... you really think you are at the same level?
Just because a bunch of idiots pay you to ruin their skin doesnt make you talented, makes them stupid as fuck.
and im not saying you can never get better, but you have to be willing to learn.
My tattoo is an average, normal tattoo. Nothing special. Yet compared to yours, its a masterpeice.

Shading and color packing are different. For shading, like as in grey was shading you want your contact screw to be a nickels width away from the armature bar. You also want to bring down the voltage on your power supply... for color packing you kinda want it inbetween... but for both you need to use the right needles that the tattoo calls for.

Lmao, the funny thing is that you judge my skills based on 2 pictures that you have no way of knowing if I even did or not. Ill give you my personal FB info so you can check out my entire portfolio if you want, then well see what you say. And your tattoo is not that difficult, ive already checked it out and its pretty basic. I could do stuff like that anyday.

lets see it then big shot?
and yeah dude its called a traditional tattoo, maybe if you stuck to the basics you could move on up to doing decent roses?

and btw in a few years thats just gonna look like a blob of red on a stem. needs more contrast, and stronger lines. Like the skeleton arm will look good for years and years because there is more contrast in it, it doesnt even need super defined lines
