Okay, here is a small update on my grow. They are getting too big to move around for pictures and I don't want to break any branches. I am just starting week 8 and it looks like they still have 3-4 weeks to go.

I love this thread- it has helped me so much.

Looking good tommy. 8 weeks into flowering they look ready to me but i am a noob.
Mine are like 37 days into flowering and I think that i am going to have to chop one down because it is 3/4 red hairs.

Rip, dont go by orange/red hairs when to harvest. That means nothing. My ww started getting red hairs around day 35. Im 42 days in now, and no way in hell Id chop them this early. Get yourself a pocket microscope and use that to help determine when to harvest.

Cool bro but first I will have to order a scope.
Witch I will If I could understand how to tell with one.
I will not chop on the 31st if the WWclub does not want me to. That also meaning you. If you think I should wait it out then I will. This is my first but not my last. I have learned so much, that even if I fell, I would still be thankful for what I have learned.

I was just now residing that I was only going to give them water for the next 2 weeks so that I could flush the bad fertilizer out. Then harvest.
But my be I will wait if the club thinks so.

Here is some new pics.
I need advise on curing. If any one would like to share there curing advise that would be cool.
Because I cut a small branch off of the bottom of the plaint and hung it upside down for 3 days then put it in a container for 1 day now. I was going to wait a nother day and try it to see how good it will be. Let me know if I did it wrong.

Looks good Rip! I bought a hand held scope from radio shack. I think it was about $12.00 if I remember right. I think it does 30x-100x and you can watch the trichomes with it. Trichomes start out clear and then go cloudy and then amber.
Mostly cloudy will get you that giggly head stone and mostly amber will give you that full couch lock body stone which is good for pain. I just started week eight and my trichomes are mostly clear still.

Curing takes time.
I hang dry for a week, depending on how bendy the stems are I either pop the buds inside a brown paper bag for a few days after hang drying or put them into air tight jars which are then opened daily for about 20mins to change the air inside.
I then usually leave them in their curing jars indefinitely.

Hey Everybody

Been following this thread for a while and decided to post my pics. I had 2 WW fems that were vegging while what I had flowering finished up. My plan was to keep the bigger healthy one for cloning and flower the smaller one. Well, the bigger one was too big to keep in the veg so plan B - flower the bigger one. Now, it has been flowering for 17 days. I'm using aeroponics,
250 W HPS (flowering),
90 W LED (vegging),
CFL's for clones.
I started using General Hydroponics 3 part system, now using Advanced Nutrients 3 part system. I'm using 3 3/4" net pots, hydroton, and homemade tubs with micro sprayers, 2 air stones per tub, 200 gph pumps, fans, no co2 yet, einstein oil.

Any comments are greatly appreciated.

The pics are:
1. The clones - 3 have died and have been replaced
2. The mother in veg stage
3. (all the rest are the one flowering) 17 days flowering

Ok i am using GH FloraNova Bloom and the GH Micro at a ratio of 1:1. Also i use 2 tea spoons of mallases per gl. I run a 600w hps. I dont know my ppm because i am only using teaspoons but i use 5 of them per gallon. Today marks the 44th day of flowering. A few pics below. I have a confession . . .i had my light way to close and i sizzled a cloa or 2 . . . will the bud still be ok from that? I had this in a DWC but i got tired of drain and replinish so i made a frame threw a rez in the bottom ran some hose up to a tray, 1 hose for the water coming up from the water pump and another hose to drain, i stuck a 5 foot hose on the inside so my water lvel stays the same. So now i call it the recirculating DWC. I had plans to go 70 days but from reading this thread i am going to go 77 and see what it do!

Id give them at least 63 days. They're looking great right now. I understand how tempting it is to chop em early, but resist! :)
Go and buy that pocket microscope like lil tommy said. Heres another cool thing to check out trichs:

Looking at the pictures you posted today, your ladies don't look quite ripe yet. They do look awesome, but visually, they don't look ready. There's way too many leaves still on the plant. Consider nature: you know when the leaves turn and start falling that the season is changing.

Also: after my first WW grow, I realized that my one plant had reached its peak odor and started to become more non-distinct; that is, it started smelling less like citrus fruit and more like weed. ;-)

Next time, I will pay more attention to that. I'm sure my anxiousness to cut the thing down and smoke 'er up also contributed to my somewhat early harvest. LOL

Flower POwer can i ask why u didnt Top ur plant to increase ur yeild?
wazzup hardweed, thatz a good question.

If I was only growing that one plant and didnt top id be an idiot, but I have a larger flowering room for my yield lol I have bout 23 Bigbudz and 3 White widowz at day 30 12/12 right now. I started that Whitewidow about a month before my bigger grow so I could have sum bud in the meantime, im glad I did cause my bigbud grow still has at least a month n half

I also didnt top because I kinda just wanted to see if 600 wattz of fourescentz could produce a large White Widow bud, and Im semi disapointed by the cola size but thatz what I get with flourescentz I guess, and I think I may have done sumtin wrong. but frankly to answer your guestion I didnt top cause yield wasnt an issue, but Bigfatbudz are lol
Peace:leaf::leaf:

Herez a pic of my other grow and a pic of sum lower branchez of the widow:bigjoint:

thanks tommy I will get one and check it out.
8 weeks seems like a long time for not even being close to ready. How long does it take to go from clear to cloudy to amber?

Vey cool dude.:bigjoint:
