Along this same note, i don't even generally hit the bowl with direct flame... instead of burning the bowl straight on, i tilt my jet lighter sideways and use the radiant heat to get a good puff before incinerating. You get a nice flavorful hit that way IME. Not unlike when you hit a TI nail/skillet rig... if it's too hot your basically lowering the potential potency of the hit by heating the hash/oil/flower too much.
It's all in theory however, and would be dependent on actually what temp your lighter puts off.

I used to use a glass rod that was the best really. Heating up the glass them rolling it over the bowl...in my older age I've moved farther from populated areas so my last glass rod broke and I no longer can just stop by the shop and be like hey let me get one of those rods.point is it would be a healthier world with no bics even though I still have love for them they have Seen Mr through some hard times but the era of bic is over my lungs have paid a huge price over the years with the cigarettes and blunts and papers and all. I had some glass hot knives that id use under the same type of bell/hooter apperatus used on the skillet rigs. I'd just heat those up and pull it through the bong. The inevitable happened and i broke the end off of one of the knives, and just started using a normal bowl in the bong and heating up the broken rod to vaporize/burn. It seemed just as efficient.
Now i see that Rize is doing it with this his hash, except he has a special bowl for it. Pretty neat.

I have a camera in my flower room available from anywhere I have a cellphone or wifi signal. Ultimate peace of mind even from a few states away..... I bought it originaly more for reassurance that nothing catches on fire lol I was paranoid don't wanna be that guy lol.

Happy belated and sorry to hear about your misfortune.... Ripping someones crop has got to be like 3 steps up from raping a child on the scumbag scale.. (I'm joking obviously, it all sucks)...
You can trust some people with your op, but you cant always trust who they're gonna tell about your shit... If your a non-med/underground grower, show NO ONE.... fuck that... All it takes is a single instance of a big-mouth being shot off that can put you in a very bad spot and dicks with badges can be ripping your crop which is honestly worse than just getting ripped, now your going to jail along with loosing your crop, your gear, and maybe your house if the IRS gets jiggy with whatever agency got you... And if your a non-med fellow, stick with 99 or less plants, after that fed charges ensue...
As far as being a medical grower, you still cant show anyone... as you can see first hand some scumbag stole your hard ass work... My state became a med state not to long ago so more and more growers are starting to come out of the wood-work and some of them being friends all wanna see my garden as out of all my friends so far I'm a little more ahead of the curve than most (so far thanks to RIU and TGA) and they offer me to see theirs and I politely say no thanks on either, even if they're life long friends.... you know which ones cant resist talking, and its most people that cant keep their mouth shut so I no longer show anyone, family, friends, and especially girlfriends and even more especially one night standers, you may impress them with what you got going but eventually it'll come back to bite you....... everyone is a liability to you once they know about it.. You more than likely dont have equal leverage to get them to keep quite.... You never know when someone is gonna turn against you, I've had this happen to me in the worst kinda way and it caused me to have to rip my room apart like the law was literally on the way with sirens blaring and kept my op down for more than 6 months, and we all know how long it takes when you gotta start back from seed again..... but in that instance I had, I honestly didnt know if they were or were not coming or watching me but the bastard that turned on me made the threat to me that "I'm calling the cops" (over the phone of course, they never do it in person)... and thats all it takes to fuck your shit up permanently... Never mind the whole situation where someones gonna come in with force and rob you at gun point or something, thats something I hope I never hear about here but sadly it will more than likely has happened and will happen again sooner or later...
It sucks that not everyone is willing to work their asses off like we do to actually create something from almost nothing, but the world is a fucked up place and people are getting more and more desperate due to the state of the economy so more people are willing to take long shots for short money and it fucks people like us.... If you have to show someone your spot... You gotta do what you gotta do, hopefully you (whomever, not speaking at anyone in particular) you think it through a little before you let anyone see it but if you dont have to show anyone, dont....

Yeah I think last year Qush and Ripped bubba got released around this time ahead of 4/20. I wish there were a little more clarity from TGA (not bitchin just wishin - know sub's got a lot going on) about the dates on release on the new strains as I'm looking to make a purchase soon but I don't wanna blow my load and then have all the new strains get released the week after 
also what strains are coming may affect my plans it'd be nice to know which strains are hitting soon and which are later in the year or after.

Love you guys ha.All is good. I keep a small circe so it wasnt too hard to find it ........ sad to say it was someone i considered family, it blew me away and was nearly impossible to believe. Luckily I have a few great friends left that have helped me with a new spot for the time being, along with some of their stocked up trim to keep me busy
Lone wolf for 2013 and loving that.... thanks for all the support and advise. I will most defidently be investing into a set of security cameras for my next house, no more looking over the little things.
