Reeker--just my two cents, but I was always told not to use the water from a dehumidifier,or an AC,etc. because of bacteria or some nasties in the water that could cause harm..I COULD BE WRONG.... I'm looking for proof..
I'd just hate to see you spend time and money only to put bad H2o in it and possibly throwing it out...
Have a great Sunday Nerds,,I'm chopping down some Qrazy Train and Sugaree...........peace

Thanks for looking out for a fellow nerd....I know ac water is a no no, but thought dehumidifier water was okay 0 ppm....don't know about the bacteria though...I've always topped off my water resovoir with dehumidifier water....I figured it was okay....haven't watered my SS with it yet....Please Nerds let me know if this dehumidifier water is okay to use...I have been doing this for years, haven't noticed a problem. I don't use RO water. my ppm are around 20-40 ppm and PH is always golden 6.5-6.7 straight from the tap.....Peace

Too bad that place got shut down so long ago... I've heard about some crazy growers from the overgrow years.

Interesting subbing out the bone/blood meal with those pellets... I might try that at some point (when I mix my next batch in another year or so, lol). How much do you swap out for how much, if that makes any sense? Or do you just do a straight substitute one for the other, and keep quantities the same?
Trying to remember now, but looking at the recipe I think I replaced all the blood & bone meal with the peruvian seabird guano pellets (works out pretty close to same n-p-k) with the quantities combined. I had pretty good results (3.3 & 3.6oz in 2.4 gallon pots on apollo 13 and over 4oz on a medicine man in a 2.4 gallon). I moved and tried something different last grow -- no super soil and pure blend -- worst harvest ever (though i don't put that all on the nutes had several issues happen)... hoping to get similar results this time next time i'm going to mix two batches of super soil one original recipe exactly and the other with the guano substitutes and a couple other ingredients I usually add in as well (crab meal, kelp meal) and compare using cuts from the same plant. Aww crap just realized what else it was I needed from the hydro store... forgot earthworm castings. Guess I can't mix dirt yet :)

Go with ur gut bro if don't think it has caused a prob and been using for years wouldn't worry about it plus if u have enough good bacteria in ur soil they should kill off the bad bacteria

just make sure you keep your bucket clean and you will be fine.....or better yet, raise you de-hum off the floor, and attach a hose to empty into an easily cleanable 5- gal pail.

Thanks Nugs and Trouble27.....Sometimes I worry too much....or just too high on cookies lol....Nugs thats the way I run my Dehumidifier but thanks.. I have a big garden...probably use 20-40 gal a week during peak growth...so I figure an extra 3-4 gal of dehumidifier water only helps me keep my resovoir from going empty as fast....I sometimes grow once a year so dehumidifier does sit 5-6 months with no use...I used to use walmart distilled water for SS trash cans until I found out the ph was around 5...SS still came out golden though....It's just the cloramine thing in my Tap water that scares me although after I bubble it for 24 hrs I still use it on my plants with no seen problems. I've googled distilled water and heard both good and bad, more bad though...anyway like I said I've been doing it for years with no problems....Peace

Sub you got me addicted to using my Vector jet torch lighter, I'm never using disposable lighters again. So much easier on the lungs. Only problem is it burns a hole right through normal smoking screens, I was wondering if I can order this screen off the web? No head shops in my area got these screens, tanks!

Beautiful tool by the way...

EDIT: Nevermind, I found some TI screens at aqualabs

Gents, any idea how/what Prospect is doing? Any young man with the ability to work his ass off and keep his mouth shut is pretty rare, I bet outdoor prep has got him busy.

Sure do miss the Weed Nerd shows...

Just sayin'

Im with Spliff after i saw sub using the torches with the hash i tried them out and theres no way i use anything else to smoke the hash now. You just get such a better rip from the torch than a bic. Those screens are nice with the metal top I knew i should have bought like ten packs when i was in Amsterdam from Milla the hash queen but i didnt. I know you can get them off her site thats what she told me anyway. All this hash talk i gotta make some more Ice wax. Down to my last bit of the space bomb 120 and a little bit of the 73 left. Gotta make some RO ice cubes and some pandoras box wax is in order.

If you have ever held a bic under a glass pipe to heat up so you could clean resin out of the bowl and you see how you get that black soot on the glass....yea that's what you're inhaling.....torch lighters burn at a higher temp which is cleaner
