Yo, dog....i'm not saying you do or don't know your weed game.....all i'm saying is this space is more for knowledge about getting better at being a master grower.....yes there are politics involved as well....but keep it more related to what we care about and are fighting for....true say i could care less about teens sending naked pics of themselves to whoever....i'm more interested in how we can stop your and my gov't from make themselves look like jack asses cause they think, people don't use google and find out the truth about alot of ish....Here in Canada our prime-minister is an idiot and knows nothing about cannabis. Yet if he spent an hour on google he'd find the real truth .....Anyway there's a lot of wrongs in this world from child molesters to genocide ...that being said....we're here to learn and talk about weed. So i can only speak for myself when i log in and come to this weed nerd forum to read about how i can make myself a better grower......thats my point of view and if you think talking about teens an sexual exploitation helps prove your point about your gov't and cannabis prohibition being dumb.....then by all means talk your talk....but for some reason i have a feeling you'd be the only one in that train of thinking...... Just saying.....

hi weed nerds got ? my seed lings have to be mowed to a bigger pots i have 7 plants that iwould like to keep all mothers in stasin. subs vid on it great idea why dosent sub keep mom and grow clones iwant to grow big enough to get the clones andkeep moms very small so i can see witch moms to let go. So would a six inch squre pot be big enough for the moms to get two clones off of each WERE is WEED NERD 56 WHEN YOU NEED HIM ON SATERDAY MORNING I will smoke bubble this morning by my self

Just made my move and Have been in the tat shop for a couple weeks now,shits been going great. I just got the net hooked up, I been having weednerd withdraws haha! And i think when Sub records in high deff it will not show up on my xbox playlist...kind of sucks cause thats how I always watch it and 3 out of 4 new ones wont play on it....lol but im watchin the weedin one with mz.Jill right now before I go into work.
But shit I missed everyone and I am glad to be back!

There are better forums for it, and political talk only devolves into arguing. One of the things I like about Subcool's forum is that it's mainly cannabis talk. We all know the political implications and what's going on out there, I'm not sure we need to discuss it here and ruin the good vibe that's going on in here.

Back to Weed Nerd talk. I consider SubCool to be a Grand Master, pHD, lord of the plant more so then a nerd.

Did the new soil recipe happen to come out yet before I go and buy all of the 2010 recipe items which I was going to do today until I watched episode 55 I think it was where he mentioned Dioxide's new recipe.

Another item, is the a recipe for making your own Roots Organic from my own items?

Think Sub might have missed the post. I am also finding this problem with the Virus. I am a weed nerd and a new Fan Sub, and i am not going to order seeds from anyone else because of this virus showing its attack more on my indicas, or crazy hybrids like serious seeds ak47... kush's....     I’ve been reading your threads and watching your vids for a long time, way before the Weed Nerd. I have used many of your organic methods with great success and can’tthank you enough for the openness of information.

    Lately I bumped into something awful, what I believe to be some form of Mosaic Virus. I am not sure where it came from, although I have a theory that it came in a pack of seeds from a “reputable” Dutch breeder. Nonetheless, I am seeing things appear in my garden that I haven’t ever seen before, hooked leaves with variegated mottling, amongst other leaf mutations. It started on a new seedling and spread to my entire stable after some thrips sprung up. (Courtesy of our friends at Roots Organic.) The signs I am seeing are REAL but I don’t exactly know the damage yet. I even found similar traits in two friends’ gardens that are not connected to my own in any way. Crazy shit indeed.

    A couple questions for you:
    • Have you ever seen or dealt with any form of this “Mosaic Virus?”
    • Can we fight it or do we have to just live with it?
    • What are the implications that this places on growers and breeders alike?

edit: sorry. what proof do you have its the virus? Have you had it tested? Or what?

not mag, not nothing else. see that's the problem, everyone thinks its a simple issue, seen this from one forum to another , a thread to another. Its a virus. no cure. its like Aids, makes your plant week and more sensitive to any issues it normally is sensitive too.

i had just watched an old rant ep. when you were ranting BHO and breathing problems, filmed last OCT or so, and have also watched the newest few episodes. ....and because i watched them back to back, i noticed that your breathing is a lot better now than it was 6 months back or so.....the reason i ask is because i also have breathing issues, and it is just something i am aware of........if so, good for you bro....thanks again for all your hard work...nugbuckets

From Sam The SkunkmanI see both Mosaic Viruses and one we call Wrinkle Leaf which comes in mild to severe versions if they are even the same virus. I see them every year and I kill any plants that express symptoms. I use mostly seed, grow out huge numbers and use a lot of imported seeds. I find problem plants I kill them, end of story. But even if you get virus free seed or clones you need to keep them that way, and insects are vectors, as well as nematodes in soil, and pots, tables, tools all need to be kept clean, and new clones are just as likely to have a virus as a pest like mites. Until the industry offers certified virus free clones like the wine industry does with viticulture clones, the problem will continue to spread.
Testing for virus could help in the short term.

Hey Nerds, so I went and checked out cannamaineia last night (the event in maine run by jim fowler), and what a waiste of time! Thank god I didnt pay the $15-$20 that they were charging to get in, thanks to a friend that had a booth there. You pretty much pay to get in so that you can walk around and listen to people trying to sell you worthless shit! And for this Fowler dude, I meen come on your supposed to be running this thing, why dont you stop talking about yourself and talk about something interesting. Also, try to dress like your not a homeless guy that just woke up in a box and stumbled in off the street. Seriously, What a waiste of time!!!!!!
