The unoffical Craigslist Scores and horror thread

My old roommate and I sold a bunch of shit on CL to make some extra cash a couple years ago. He sold a set of old golf clubs and a mirror/dresser thing. Both people that came to pick up the items were pleasant and didn't try to talk us down too much/weren't assholes. I sold a couple bins of old records and the guy ended up staying at out apartment for like an hour and a half nitpicking through EVERY SINGLE LP. I asked if he smoked bud and he said yes so I smoked him out and he ended up sweetening the deal a bit. He was an old hippie guy so it really wasn't that big of a risk. I know my old man and his girlfriend are big into CL as well. They have purchased a kick ass used hot tub that runs really well for super cheap. Gave it a clean, a little electrical work and the thing is damn near good as new. Craigslist isn't as sketch as a lot of people make it out to be..
 
I just read an ad for a double amputee looking for an ounce of weed for his pain! I think I'm going to go introduce myself and try to help him out ( not for a monetary return ). Score for Chewberto to help someone in pain. Hopefully it's not some dirty cop trying to trick someone into selling them weed!
 
Boyfriend got a fancy schmancy digital 8 track recorder for $50, and it normally would cost in the hundreds. Score. I hope it wasn't stolen. Bad juju.

I gave away a cat door (the spendy kind that fits in a slider glass door) for free to this sweet, broke, reclusive guy with a lot of cats. It was in such great shape, he was practically crying. He gave me a jar of blueberry jam as a thank you. Then I drove him to the mall, cause he didn't have a car, and it was all snowy out. We made tentative plans to get coffee one of these days.

I've also had the Nigerian scammers contact me to BUY my ancient Pepto-Dismal pink couch I listed in the free section. HA! They were welcome to it!

The Nigerian scams are fuckin hilarious....this other forum I was reading got one of them to take a picture of himself holding a sign with the "bank code" so that funds may be released......pic of a dude holding a sign that said ID-10-T or idiot....funny shit.
 
deal this morning!!! my galaxy s4 wasnt working.. the touch screen, so instead of dealing with best buy today i hit craigslist. my favorite phone ever was the original evo.

i picked up 2 lol, got em both for 95 bucks with otterboxes and the packaging.. what a deal. now i can replace my s4 and sell it hahahhahah :bigjoint: amazes me that how long ago i used to have this phone.. the evo, like 5 years ago, it came with an 8mp camera.. phones should be way more advanced now
