I am always amazed at how sloppy we can get.
Do any of you growing at home and accessing this site from your home computer worry about that?

I agree, but I've been bitched at a couple of times for saying anything. I think seed bank info and things like that should be kept a little more secret, but hey, who am I. I'm not worried about it because assuming that I do have anything at all, I definitely wouldn't have it here, and nobody would ever find it.

I've never seen an instance of rollitup being responsible for someone getting busted. I know the site administration/staff/myself would never disclose i
information about its members... as if we had any anyhow.

Of course its YOUR job to manage your own security... not ours :)

Paranoid for no good reason? Apparently, you have never been to prison. I doan live in California and I think our laws are a bit different.

At first I did. But then I thought hey I'm a legitimate card carrying CA resident and I think that the dea or anyone in law inforcement would just be wasting they're time and tax payers money trying to convict me for something thats on a state level perfectly legal. Didn't Obama just say they aren't gonna spend anymore money on marijuana issues?

Legally they would have to... and none of us would cooperate as none of the site administration/staff are legally required to cooperate with the DEA.

Seriously though... if you're that worried about it I would just not contribute... but I know for a fact that the owner of the server this site is on takes security very seriously. :)

Personal safety is important to everyone here. And its a concern we all share.

Yes it is easy easy for the government to obtain our IP's. They dont need permission either. And if you think China is bad, you aint seen nothing yet. With the war on drugs and its link to terrorism and the patriot act.... Fuck

And Rollitup does use an IP program, which saves ip addresses for years. Its used to stop trolls and banned members from coming back.

And Growtech makes valid points himself. Nobody has been busted because of their posting here. The server (I think is in Canada. Ive asked mods before where the server was but was ridiculed instead of an answered :roll:)

And even if people do get busted Im not worried about it at all. There are many, bigger fish to fry than me. My grow is small and personal, Im not worried about the government tracking me over the hundreds of other people growing much much more weed than me.

I think its important to remain as annonymous as possible. Dont post pictures of your house, your myspace page or anything that can lead to you being tracked by a post. RollItUp will not give up your IP willingly.

And if you are really worried about it just dont post, or get an ip anonomizer, or surf from local coffee shops.

Im not the government. And I have no interest in your IP. Do you seriously think the government cant get your IP if they wanted too? :lol:

And when the government does obtain your IP they will not be calling. They will wake you up early in the morning with your front door smashed in and windows pulled out for multiple entry points. They will come in with guns drawn and handcuffs ready. They will take your vehicle, your tv, even play your wii before they take it too. And if you own your house... Not anymore!!

They consider marijuana very dangerous and take it very seriously. And it is very dumb to under-estimate your enemies.

Growtech you are basing your opinion on the fact that the government is too busy and will not try. Rather than the fact that they could if they wanted to.
