The Shot Glass Grow Off - Contest Growers ONLY!

I know we are all doing this for fun, but I'd really like to eventually optimize this....so in theory an occasional smoker can grow a single plant at a time, on their desk, over the course of 2 months or so. After this run, I'm going to try pruning a shot glass grow, find ways to maximize the yield while keeping it in the small cup, and on a 12/12 cycle from seed.

its in a regular medium sized pot, but even going strait from 12/12 he got pretty good growth, topped her and LST'd her,

im going to be using two party cups, and have my shots glass's on the sides, got a nice lil grow cab and after going thru his thread again, I wanna give it a go, only thing i can really do as of now

I have never seen a MJ plants finish in 2 mnths from seed.. Not even autos.just because you do 12/12 from seed doesnt mean the plant will flower in 2 mnths.. I have seen plants take 4 months to finish even when grown under 12/12 from seed.

Here's an update on mine. Little yellowing on my clone. Seems to always happen to this plant. Starts dropping fan leaves when in flowering.

Right. It can take a seedling 4-6 weeks just to become mature enough to start flowering. Just because they are under 12/12 doesn't mean a seedling will flower. Needs several weeks to become mature to do so.

Ah, I see what your saying. I my last grow was 1 month veg, and over a month or so of flowering (which was cut short).

But that vegging was under 24/0. So that might be why I'm behind what I estimated.

Either way, however long it takes, I'll still work on optimizing it. The only thing is, I have a bag of various bag seeds, so this time I might be working with something genetically slow to flower no matter what...then next time happen to have an auto flower dwarf. So I think the whole time frame thing will always be up in the air. I won't be able to schedule if I don't know what seeds I'm using.

But I can still work on pruning and LST on the next go around.

my new seeds should pop tonight, but my shot glass isnt my only concern now, there just gonna be one the side, but they should do better then my last effort, kinda rushed things but im gettin this stupid soil shit figured out

haha i love soil cant figure out hydro to save my life and dont like the fact that if i mess one little thing up they all get messed up but mines lookin like a little beast its funny i cant wait to get a little bud on it

do it start your seed and leave in it vegg for a week on 24 /0 lighting or something this will be going on for awhile

well i got one side project thats still goin, Trainwrek i got a while ago from this club, she has been 12/12 for 10 days, all i got is the Day Light Bulbs right now, my unemployment dont come in until the 30th, but that link i posted a page bac shows some good success for a quicc harvest, but normally i would vegg first, i just donr have the supplies, hence being unemployed haha
