Ok, so im not part of this contest... so sorry for posting... but im just wondering something... I know you guys are not shooting for yeilds and its all just a competition for fun... I can respect that for sure... its just all in fun... im just confused about why so many people started from seed??? It doesnt even seem possible from seed... a rooted clone flowered IMMEDIATELY might finish in a shot glass, but im calling a waste of effort on anyone that started from seed... Seedlings need to show thier sex before they can flower, but rooted clones are ready to bud already... So im calling all you cloners the winners already... Anyone agree??? Someone please PROVE ME WRONG!!! I'll keep watching! Great thread!

how is it a waste of time? they will show sex from 12/12 no matter what, how is it not possible from seed? obviously it is, cause we got people who are from seed and are showing sex, and this has been done before, its not that hard...

and just so you know, there only one person who took a clone, but it wouldn't really matter cause you can just stick any clone in a shot glass, has to be small enough, so there is no real advantage to starting with clone except that it will finish first

sorry, "waste of time" is not what I wanted to say... I appologize, I know its all in fun and everyone is just experimenting... im interested in seeing what people can do with it... I just figured that starting from clone made MUCH MORE SENSE than from seedling in such a small container... clones are already mature and a seedling is not... I guess you could force flower a seedling but it will take forever to show sex and wont work nearly as well as just flowering a clone... I personally dont think you will make it to harvest with a seedling in that small of a container... but like I said, please prove me wrong because im interested to see... I think this contest should be started over as a "clone only" experiment... Not trying to diss anyone, just a more realistic idea in my opinion...

Hey guys! Haven't updated in awhile, the plant is doing better, blasted it with a mix of nutes, pulled the lights back much further again, and it's looking healthier...VERY compact, like almost no space between nodes. Not sexed yet though :(

DAY 38
I used auto level with my photo program, because the pics were too red, and it made it a bit more dark/green than it really is. It's a lighter green than it appears here.

The leaves started to curl down again, but as I said prior I flushed it with a heavy concentration of nutes (to break any nute lock), pulled the lights back, and it perked up. I just hope after all this, it's not male :(

Glad I can help!

As a plant overall, it's a pretty durable thing, I'm just always concerned about shocking it.

On a side note, I was thinking of planting catnip (which is in the same family as marijuana). I was going to take a 3 foot x 20 foot area of my backyard, and just sowing it full of catnip seeds. Probably have lots of cats from the area there lol, but if I rinse it it'd probably be safe for my cats to eat.
