Ginwilly answered this pretty well, but I will add a bit.

I don't know of any libertarian who opposes birth control. I certainly don't.

Some libertarians oppose abortion, some support the right. It is a complex question. My personal position is that I fully support abortion rights up to some number of weeks of gestation, probably around 16 weeks. That strikes me as plenty of time to get an abortion for convenience. For life threatening issues, I would extend that time. I also hope like hell I am never in a position to be forced to make such decisions.

The civil rights act has an opposing constitutionally guaranteed right in the first amendment: the right of association. If David Duke does not want to serve blacks in his diner, that should be his right. He owns the diner after all. If the right reverend Wright does not want to minister to creepy ass crackers, that is his right and I am certainly not going to violate his 1st amendment right of association and force him to hang around with whitey.

I am not aware of any libertarians who oppose marriage equality. There probably are some though. For me, I just don't give a shit who somebody else fucks or marries, it is none of my business.

Your statement that "most libertarians are" is wrong. As usual, you have a distorted image in your mind that is divorced from reality.

I have never met a racist libertarian, but it is a wide world and there probably are some.

i was raised as a survivalist, by men anticipating the coming collapse of civilization, and the first thing drilled into my head was:

When society collapses, you will need weapons and the skill and will to use them.

this was not to ensure "equality" but to protect what you work for, build and grow, from those who want what you have but dont feel like working for it.

in your fantasyland you must somehow ensure that everybody has everything they need or want, and nobody can have more than the other guy, otherwise somebody will re-discover violence and theft.

you must be a powerful sorcerer to pull of that awesome trick.

Let's not confuse what is today with "civilization" as in, this is as good as it gets or can possibly be. Also the collapse of the present day systems of bondage what you term "civilization" may be necessary for real human progress to occur.

Yes there have been technological advances, but I'd say humans still are pretty primitive in the way they interact with each other. So maybe, the "collapse" of a hierarchy maintained by force is a chance for something else to replace it. You fear the anarcho boogey man, but don't recognize his evil brother, "the state" is already among you.
