Eyup CH hows things mate? glad to see you still on mate,.............i still use the pk13/14 but i use quite early around week 2.5-3 as soon as ive got tiny buds like canna recommened seems to work well, by givin the plant a kick up the arse and gets the swell on sooner, then i use Overdrive the last few weeks seems to work great aswell, alot of people say its snake oil but i think its good buds seem to keep swellin to the chop with the stuff!.....just my 2 pence mate!

I purchased an inexpensive TDS meter TDS EZ by HM Digital I didnt think much of TDS readings. Its inexpensive. When I wasnt getting any readings near 1000 a Canna rep told me I should purchase an EC meter that was better and that ppm meters ignored things and that it was off. When I told him I had budget limitations, he said forget about it. TDS readings may have become more important to me and Im wondering which is a better option: buying a new meter or forgetting about it.

Or wondering what a decent but decent EC meter costs.

I'm running the whole line of canna in coco: a + b, zyme, rhizo, pk, and boost. Ive never checked ppm, ec, tds etc. and never have any issues. Often times, my ph balances itself.

Does anyone else not worry about these measurements as much as other growers do? Am I sacrificing yield (my quality would be hard to improve on)?

Thanks guys!

I cant imagine how the ph balances itself. My tap water is 7.1 or so and its aint that much work to balance the work so I do and I think about it, hardly worry. pH should be watched. TDS i my jury is still out on.

Lets hear from others?

I don't know how the ph comes out near perfect but after mixing everything I'm always right around 5.8, very little ph up or down is needed if any.

But yes, i.d like to hear from others on this as well

I dont check ppms or ec either with the canna never have, but i have to ph down everytime, after i add everythin im usauly around 6.3-6.8, it all depends on your startin ph im pretty high around 7.6. I no a few guys that never ph and are sound, they must be in the safe range aswell.

there needed when you're homing you're feed in. to find out what you're e.c ppm are of you're starting water sauce is. as you need to work out how much cal/mag you need to add to your water. as you need you're water over 0.2 ec and more than half of it cal/mag and if you get the cal/mag ratois wrong you can open up a mass amounts of problems like lock out ect. as when measuring this in mill to liters say. you're guessing how much you need. which is not good. but then i know many growers that have just added 2 mill a gallon and not known there starting ec and have amazing results so as normal with growing there aint no set in stone way. also pulling you're water reports is a big help to for this. but if you have youre feeding homed in then no youre ok. but if you are trying then yes i would get one. i only add 100-50ppm of cal.mag on the tdsx500 the hanna scale as my water starts at o.5 ec when sat over night. and have problems free grows now i took the time to work this out

thast a mystery . as i set my water to ph 6.0 and run in canna coco with AnB zym rizho boost and pk1314 and when ive added y nutes my and let it sit for at least 2 hours my ph down water that was ph 6 jumps to ph 6 .4 and its the rizho that makes it jump also sometimes the b knocks it up to. i know a rycrirclating system knocks ph down into check. but canna coco nutes are not ment for this.(i know some have had success) ho you feeding youre plants by hand ect

i fell for this 2 i bought a trunchoen a blue something i can go look if needed. it measures ec then has the ppm scales 500 640 700 ect on the sides if gives amazing accuracy but cost 70 to 80 pound. i paid 80 like an idoit and found that i could have downloaded the tds sclaes of the net for free and bought a more accurate ec metre for 30 pound. one sec mate i go get them...then truncheon is a bluelab(www.getbluelab.com) and the ec tester you can get is made by trans instruments. i use there orange ph stick the aqua pal. (they make a blue one for ec) there amazing on the accuracy side. but there only 30 pound and are not fully water tight if you drop in the mix its done for that the only downside

Hey Jberry was wondering whether i should use anything along with the pk13/14 during flower. just started week 4 of flower and have had two doses of the pk so far over 4 days, going to give just water next time, as this is what i do, and have been reccomended to do, on a 2 nute/1 plain water schedule. first of all i am confused whether to go from week 4 and 5, or 4 and six. have heard all sorts about peoples pk schedule. Also i have read you reccomending several times not to invest in the boost, however is there anything else that would give it the extra things it needs that is cheaper but works with the pk13/14 without harm. thanks jberry!!

I use boost with pk 13/14. Boost starts week 1-2 of flowering, pk week 3 or 4 for about three weeks still using boost, then boost up til flush. I adjust based on strains and plant size. As far as alternatives to boost that are safe with pk...maybe bud xl from house & garden or something like big bud? Someone else can probably answer that better.

Hey all, sorry cause I'm sure this has already been covered in the thread but I don't really have the time to search it out. I know with alot of nutrients people say to go about half of manufacturer's recomended dosag, I'm just wondering if that is ok to do with canna. THis will be my second grow with canna and the first time I was really happy and used the recomended dosage. The only reason really that I want to try it at a lesser dosage is cause the Boost is so efin expensive. THanks to anyone who can help.

Hi i was just wandering if anyone could help, i'm just two weeks into my first grow and things are not to bad, ive just noticed my run off has gone up to 6.7 (it was 6.3 yesturday) i put it in at 5.6 tonight to try and get it down from 6.3 and its gone up instead, i normally feed at 5.8 ( using canna coco professional plus) i have noticed that my leaves have become a bit twisted, but not really bad. if anyone could give me some input on this problem i would be very grateful
