There is a huge diff there but sure!
They paid you a light to advertise for them. Jesus i cant believe i had to spell it out for you. There is no differance in being paid in money, goods, or services. Payment is payment. You are getting comped to rep a product.

Now lets see what this light is worth... im SURE it will work... will it work nearly as well as other lights in the price point? Really dont think so.

Ffs. Why all the hate?? It's a light and ANY light will grow weed. The man has not paid any cash out for it so what's the big problem??
He is giving an honest opinion on the build quality and will in no doubt keep us all updated on how well the lights perform.
I've noticed with the RIU forum that unless you jump on the quantum board/cob bandwagon that your automatically a target for the masses. It's seriously making me reevaluate my presence on this forum.
Isn't the point in a forum a place to learn from OTHERS if it be bad or good experiences.
Chill the fuck out. Correct me if I'm wrong but what matters most is the final product no??

These are cob lights. The problem is the specs of the lights and how much they cost. I dont think anyone is saying they wont work... a 600 watt led is going to work no matter what, even if its 600 watts of lightbulb led. But when its that expensive then it better really perform. I paid $700 for a 600 true watt led like 8 YEARS ago. It worked well enough. This light will likely do better than that one did, but there is zero reason i can see that this light should be over 800$ it just doesnt fit the $$/watt ratio to make sence. Unless this guy smashes out like 3g/watt of super fire.

Let me spell it out for you you idiot this light is on terms of being returned upon me finishing Harvest. no one has promised me any merchandise or any discount or any fuking payment of any type, this is solely an experimental process you moron. There is no bias here whatsoever as I am not related to this company I could give a fuck about them and their light but I was offered to test it out for no reimbursement whatsoever and I took it up so what's the problem with that? Goddamn shill

Whos more likely to be a shill, the new account advertising a product or a member of 8 years not advertising anything... hmmm...

But as ive been saying, the results will speak for themselves an show if this is actually overpriced old tech or something that is better than it seems
So let him get on with his grow. If he ends up proving you correct then flame him all you want but until that time I can't see what harm it will cause showing us how good/bad it performs.
I understand your suspicion but for what I've seen on this thread he hasn't giving anyone a reason really to give him any hassle. As far I I can see he hasn't tried to get anyone to buy the light. He has it in his possession and wants to share it with our community.
Personally I'd NEVER pay 1400 for a light anyway but I'm interested in any and all growing equipment and how well they perform.
Anyway let's move on haha :bigjoint:

What are u talking about. Hes charging 1400$ for the lights. The specs are right here and the looks absolutely horrid. He give no information if that's per cob, per bar or what.
And youre 100% correct not really clear on data #s as far as per bar per cob etc. Im contacting them to confirm and i will post what i find.

Not sure which page your getting specs off of. Please share link.

Have you used these lights? Aside from the small tidbit of data u shared what do you know about them?
That data is all we need.

84 watts for $1400? A 100 watt Quantum board is $149.

4631 lumen? That $149 Quantum Board is 15,000.

55 lumen/watt? A $2 screw in led is around 100.

I was selected to use these lights for free no cost to advertise them and their results.

Pretty sure that report is for 1 bar, which doesnt make any sense. That's why I am pretty sure this is just a rebranded alibaba light. The sphere test doesnt make any sense of his light is 8 bars, you would test all 8 bars.

Here’s 200w of COB from Timber for $299, I think. 2-3 weeks left.
