Serapis, you tend to take things to heart pretty quick. All that guys posts were edited, so I don't know if they've been altered or what, but I have rooting issues myself often times and I still don't think I would have taken it too personally. At least he took the time to use proper grammar and spelling. Here is an excerpt from a thread I posted on another site, in response to my cloning issues.. You'll feel dumber having read it..

"hi all i wanted 40 cutting for my space on second floor of my cuboard took 45 5 for sake of some not rooting but all come back in week with new growth under fhd sun blaster lighting 125w color temp 2700k with clonex rooting horm scraped 1/2" off bottom then strait in to coco professional plus left them for 2 days then put small freezer bags over them left for 4 days took bags off 7 day sold all on 8 day 5er peace cos fell out with partner who wanted it out their house my point is i have more luck with clones than i do crowing it all way i have 2big ones just now 3 others i dont no what the hell they are but they have folage everywere and are only 5" tall really lots of leves dont think it could cram any more in to its ltl stem lol anyway all best on your clones and future harvest clones all the way over seed's i think but what the hell do i no"

When in doubt, I find the best thing to do is just ignore the posters that annoy you. I just don't respond to people that aren't adding something of value to the discussion.

As for giving up if the ezcloner doesn't work? I say pish posh to that. I'm happy to get a 25% success rate myself, so I feel your pain. lol. But always going from seed is such a waste of time it feels like, they take forever, and giving up entirely.. Well.. I can't condone that one bit! ;)

Ironically, the best success I've had with rooting were from first failing to root in coco first, then rinsing the coir off the unrooted stem after about 12 days, it would look nasty and brown, but I'd put them into the bucket cloner anyway and within a few days I had roots on 2 out of 4. All I'm using is plain tap water (not even ph'd) with about a half cap of 3% hydrogen peroxide every 3-4 days, and a complete change after a week.. I'm afraid to use nutrients at all because I've seen rooting clones with nice little white stubs get their roots burnt off in my first cloning attempts in rockwool, even with a 1/4 strength cloning nutes per B.C.'s nutrient mixing chart.. I ignore the yellowing of the leaves unless I think it's from the light being too close. Like you, I'm not too worried about time it takes to clone, just trying to guarantee a decent success rate so I don't have to grow from seed unless I want new strains or pheno's. So if it takes 2 weeks or longer to root, so be it, as long as it roots,,

In the end, each of us is going to stick with what works for us.. and what works for us, probably won't work for everyone. Some people clone in coco directly with ease, for example.. Me, not so much......

I agree with you, and giving him the benefit of the doubt, I even apologized, and was met with a sassy remark.

"Why anybody wold waste good $$$$ when my method works so well is beyond me..."
That is exactly how I read his message. I don't see a sincere in question in the post at all. As Beansly has stated, this is not the only thread that remarks like that show up in from him. I still to this minute don't believe it was a question at all...

Here are the quotes from his message that bother me and make it sound as though he is questioning my judgement...

I just don't get it.

Maybe I'm stupid, or just missing a point or something?

Just can't figure why get elaborate ($$$) on something like this?

What am I missing on all this high tech cloning stuff????
It seems more of a rhetorical to me than a sincere question. Had he read my thread, he would know exactly why I ordered the EZC, rather than to ask questions like these and yet boast about how easy it was to clone in the very same post, after I've laid out my frustrations with cloning... I'm sure he has an innocent question somewhere, but it wasn't in there...

This wasn't boasting?

Just finished 4 clones each of 3 strains (12 total). Went the olde fashioned dirt way and all made it and all had good rootings in 15 days.
Moving along......

I'm real close to doing just that... The additive came from EZC.... it's their new product.

I use a 25-site white Botanicare cloner. It's two years old, on its second pump. I have banged out a lot of clones with it, but results are not always identical and I wish they were. I always get close to 100% success, but time to roots is highly variable. I wish I could say exactly why, but there are so many variables. My last batch took over 4 weeks to have decent roots, but that could be due to cold temps in my space, too much N in my mothers, tap water vs RO, w Clone stimulator, without. . . . It's a mystery. I'm rooting for the EZ cloner, I might buy one soon, but your res shouldn't be cloudy at all, especially after only 5 days. I'd ditch whatever that additive that is you got and go with tap water.

serapis that earlyer post I did with a cloning formula is a 100% knock out cloning methed, the superthrive is causing the
sudzy soapy look I get it to. Ive used the botanicare 48 site cloner and the ezc and they both work! alot of people use
cloning solution that cost alot, clonex liquid/ botanicare has one even EZC has one but using just a 3$ pack of clonex
powder/ or root tone powder form at 1tsp per cone run with maxi grow kicks ass.

Thanks for the tip on the soapy water. :) I'm not as concerned now and will leave the water in. It has superthrive and GH Max Grow in it as well as Clear ReZ. I will look for hormone powder my next trip to lowes.

Why is the reservoir clear? Isn't EZCloner supposed to be heavy duty black pvc to prevent light leaking? Or, are you using something else til EZCloner arrives?

Hmm can't reeaaally tell but it looks like a few new growth tips are comin out in pic 2 and the last pic looks like you did it right. I just did a few 3 days ago so ill put up a pic or 2 in a min

Ok, notice the new growth tips forming. Also, the growth under the fim will start growing outwards rather than the plant continuing rapid verticle growth. The new growth tips will still grow upwards, o let them get a few inches long and then tie them down.

I received an email from the board that Canon had posted a long post insisting he really meant no harm and that he feels terrible about the misunderstanding. I don't know what happened to the post, but it has been deleted.

Canon, if you read this, I'm ready to move on and put it past us. I believe you feel bad and did not intend to upset me or insult me. As has been stated, we loose some sens of meaning on communications such as forums because we can't hear tone and inflection or see the person talking.

Let's get back to growing some weed. :)

I hope this doesn't offend or annoy but I just hate to see you'all going through this frustration.
This is works in a variety of mediums I've use dirt, rwool, sponges, fiberglass insulation...........works in everything cept oasis cubes,I hate them goddamn things.
I actually prefer to do this in the dirt I just used the pellets because when yer first starting they give you visible results..........as in you can see the roots poke out.
I bet ya do it this way yer sucess rate will skyrocket, good luck and have a nice day.
This is an easy way to do some cuts.First a healthy plant in veg with some good branching, side and top views.
I use an old cutting board,a rusty razor, sharp fine pointed scissors and roottech gel.
You don't need any hormones at all to take cuts successfully but it speeds up the process and the plants are less beat up by the time they root.
How the branch looks removed with nodes attached and stripped off,I just pinch them off be careful not to kink the stem.......kinking is bad.
Stick in gel let sit for 30 seconds or so.
In this case I'm using peat pellets but it'll work in just about anything that will keep the cut from drying out while it's rooting.
Soak the pellets overnight or they'll suck the moisture outta the cuts with bad results.
Poke hole in pellet, stick cut all the way down again careful not to kink the stem.
Form pellet around stem,gently.......then dunk in water to replace what ya squeezed out by forming then put in a dome.I'm using a cake box, they come in a huge variety of shapes and sizes plus ya getta cake.......fucking A.
In this case they're about 12"s under a 42 watt cfl, just leave'em alone they don't like being messed with.
Roots take anywhere from 5 to 15 days depending on plant and temp,I will take some pics and explain how I quick harden them off and pot'em when these root.
Now the donor plant provided 6 cuts and has 4 main branches, ready to be up-potted and flowered tomorrow.

Thank you. Agreed. I deleted it because It seemed like,, well I don't know.......
I've spoke with you in other threads and still have hi reguards for your input.
Think that if we were eyeball to eyeball,, none of that would of happened.
I do deeply regret my communication / people skills seem to be lacking in today's world.
Thank you for understanding. I will work desperately on my communications.
Obviously,, you were not alone in your thoughts, and that places the issue on me only.
Thank you and :peace:

I disected the STG cubes today that I was trying to grow seed from, and only 2 had germinated. The radicles looked healthy, so they were carefully moved over to rapid rooter plugs. One seed had disintegrated and the other 7 were intact. 3 are now soaking, and the rest were planted. Maybe the KC Brain seeds are trash, I have 5 more on day 6 in soil now and nothing there...

Something interesting coming up soon...

I ordered some e-liquid flavors and liquid tobaccos for refilling my own e-cig cartridges to save money. In my research, I stumbled upon recipes for herbal tinctures to be used in e-cigarettes... imagine my surprise! I'm going to be doing a slow, low heat extraction soon for the purpose of making some liquid weed juice to use in my cartridges. Imagine smoking THC in public and no one but you knowing it! I'm looking forward to this and will of course take pictures and share the steps and the results.

That's awesome. There actually giving those electric cigs away because its supposedly healthier than smoking. I think you might still smell it tho. Idk.

You can't smell THC. I'll be extracting it using a slow heat method and the extraction will be with food grade vegetable glycerin. E-cigarettes have absolutely no smell to the vapor. They are a lot healthier than smoking cigarettes :)

The place I ordered from had a marijuana flavoring to add, but it was double the price of all other flavors. I ordered 'musky melon' and 'Mandarin Orange' to try with my extractions.

How do you like those e cigs and do they work? I really need to quit smoking but it's so dang hard. I could stop smoking grass a lot easier than the cigs and that just don't seem right to me. I just can't imagine all the stuff they put in them things to keep us addicted. Those tinctures sound pretty cool and its gonna be real interesting to see how turns out for ya.

Peace.

I had quit smoking 3 years ago, but recently decided to try an e-cig to end the pangs of desire to light one up again. I use the Blu Cig and it is AWESOME. My father is a 2 pack a day smoker and he is getting one after trying mine. The Blu is one of the few that don't require a separate atomizer and cartridge. It is a simple two piece that feels remarkably like a real cigarette. The tip lights blue when you inhale. The taste is good and the nicotene levels offered are no, 4mg, 8mg, 12,mg, 16mg. 16mg is a full flavor and 12 is light. Each cartridge is equivalent to about a pack of kings. I only recently stumbled upon instructions for refilling the carts and you can save a lot of money refilling them yourself instead of ordering new ones.

oil doesn't vape well... next time, try vegetable glycerin :)

Lol, when I made a batch of brownies a while back I put some of the oil in my wife's e-cig, it wasn't that strong but it worked. A nice strong tincture would be perfect.
