That was done for political intimidation reason for other tribes, not to try to make money. The motivations were different so the results weren't required. Also, the natives might well have responded differently to being enslaved by members of their own race and culture, and forced to do things they were used to.
But maximizing productive activity, thus profit, was not the motive of that, there were other reasons.
Edit.. The Indians (in America anyway) gave this up as time went on and they were introduced to African black slaves. Some of the largest owners of slaves were Indian tribes, who owned slaves long after the end of the civil war.

just to make you see what america are really this day!! can't believe a land of freedom where nobody is actually the real native beside indian can't be so wrong just because of the color of your skin, wish that we was able to share body to make them feel for one day how this is hard an frustrating

An argument ensued, and Alexander said she feared for her life when she went out to her vehicle and retrieved the gun she legally owned. She came back inside and ended up firing a shot into the wall, which ricocheted into the ceiling.
