The Miracle-Grow!

ALright so I'll have pics up of the females from this grow today after lights on, =) I love picture days!

In the mean time here is a couple shots of some Widow I was forced to harvest a few weeks early due to her being extremely stunted and heat stressed while I was installing my 1000 watt flower room. She tryed to make it and I let her go and hoped she would pull out of it but alas, all of her leaves were dead and she didn't move for over a week so I had to give her the chop before it was to late to salvage the buds =(

Day 4 drying (Looks like she'll only weigh in at about an ounce dryed and cured) Clear/Cloudy trichs, she should be a nice head high when smoked, but she certainly wasn't finished)

Current plants in MG Fux all the haters out there =D PC's are for the pc contest

Hey, looks good man, I see some yellowing on the leaves of the party cup plant but thats expected I think when growing in a cup like that. It happened to mine also. Overall though, they all look nice and healthy =)

Thx man yea my PCs always start yellowing for some reason ima feed her sum nutes and see how she takes it.

Hows the fimm lookin? first time doing it not sure if its working out or not looks like it is

Thanks! My friends enjoy my bud more when I harvest at around 10-15% amber trichs. The heady, energy high is favorable amongst the folks who partake in my end product.

I'm having a hard time pinpointing the FIM cut on that one pic. I typically do a normal top when they are at that age, and then I'll FIM the two new main colas once more once they are bigger and begining an alternating node pattern a couple weeks before the light switch. If your a long vegger like me then it helps create 8-10 main cola's but that's just how I try and do it

Edit: Also I've been getting better at Super Cropping. I'll Super Crop once after 1 week flower to even the canopy out a bit more than let em do there thing with no more stress for the rest of the 12/12 cycle

Yea i fimmed it but it seems to be acting like i Toped it, i've got 4 colas and 2 more growing that are about a half inch on both sides of my fimm im going to tie the 4 down so the other 2 can reach for the light =D

Can't wait to see the ladies!!!!!! hurry up lights =D

See inbetween my fingers the brown spot? thats where i fimmed but they just died and 2 new sites started. i followed the Tutorial on fimm but it seems more like a top to you also?

Alright so here's an update on this grow. Two of the original four Widows 3 and 4 are now verified 100% female, the two males Widows 1 and 2 have been pulled and killed. So we now have two bushy ladies to take to the end =) I went ahead and pulled the two out of the flower room right after the timers kicked on which is why they seem a little droopy. My plants like to go limp when they sleep and lift their leaves upward as soon shortly after the lights kick on. I also didn't want them to get confused with 3 females I already have in flower that are on day 30.

Nutes (Feeding full strength dose and 6.5ph water every 2 days)

Yeah looks like a normal top, when you fim make sure you have plenty of apex growth to hack up, I noticed it confuses the plant more and increases the amount of cola's (hope you understand what I mean, hard to explain, but if you fim when the plant is nearing maturity (alternating nodes) you get bigger apex growth to hack up). I say "hack" because my Fims are ugly hence the name "Fuck I Missed" but they are effective, I get some ugly looking apex leaves afterwards but the plant will usually give me 4-5 cola's each time (along with a bunch of deformed leaves from the FIM

Yea i just followed a tut of some guy doing it to a clone about the same size as mine so i done it =D atleast it worked out as a top and not a complete failure lol and my nuts are 8-7-6 just MG plant food drops i found this other stuff man its like 12-55-6 called Green light super bloom you ever heard of such a thing? P is 55? wtf? lol i dun want to use it figured its asking for burn. Says to mix 2 TEAspoons with in 1 gallon of water feed flowering or fruiting plants every 10-14 days be sure soil is moist and that its all the way dissolved.

So i figured if i mix it and just put a cup or so in after i water later in flower you think it would burn?

Hera and Aphrodite are lookin Great! and Aphrodie is double the size lol bet u got sum good clones. You get Jacks at HD or lowes? i can't find anything good at lowes and my HD is like 2 hours away lol

And my MG soil feeds says it feeds up to 6 months so that scares me with that super bloom shit

You could try that new fertilizer but I don't think I would use it at full strength, maybe 1/2 or 1/4 strength. I really like the Jack's Classic line of fertilizers, very simple and has a lot of good trace minerals like Calcium/Magnesium that I noticed a lot of others lacked. I ordered mine from Amazon.com and paid about the same as the Miracle Grow fertilizer that I have here also. I'm getting a little bit of Nitrogen deficiency in the first couple weeks during the flowering stretch so I think I'm going to adjust next grow and run veg ferts 1-1-1 ratio for the first week or so of 12/12 then switch to a 1-3-2 ratio bloomer. I have a few clones from Aphrodite but I think I'm going to work more with my BlueCheese's that I have. This Widow pheno has been difficult to work with, very picky and requires a lot of attention so I'm going to be running the Big Buddha Cheese which is heavier on the Indica side. I think I'll yield more with the way my grow is set up.

I'm expecting 2.5-3 ounces (maybe 4 if I push them hard enough) per plant from Hera and Aphrodite. I had to harvest an early Widow recently and I came out with 60.7 grams dried from her, and she was pulled 3 weeks early and was stunted due to my equipment upgrades.

Are you doing a Jacks vs MG comparison?

Ive been told that tap water has enough calcium that MG dosnent include it.
But i add some anyway.

Well, I made sure to get up this morning at 3:15AM for a nute foliar feeding before lights out. Hera and Aphrodite are showing signs of Nitrogen deficiency and have lost some lower leaves, I increased last nights watering by adding 1/4 dose of Jack's Classic to the orchid bloomer. I'm thinking the bloomer alone during stretch just wasn't enough. We'll see how they look at lights on and I'll shoot some pics. I think they'll be alright with a couple foliar feedings and the nitrogen increase.

I'm not really doing a side by side comparison with Jack's and MG, I was just trying it to see if I wanted to make a permanent switch. So far I do like the Jack's Classic but I'm not real big on the Orchid Bloomer (I'ts just not enough I don't think) I'm going to try Jack's Blossom Bloomer which has a higher str 10-30-20 per full dose.

I'll head over and check out your cloning after work today =)

I have a very low tolerance for marijuana as it's not really my thing to smoke, I just enjoy growing it for the pleasure of others (and the pleasure growing it brings me) I wanted to take a small sample of my early harvest before I donated it out like all the rest. The widow smells citricy in the curing jars. I pulled a small bud and stuffed a small bowl last night thinking it was going to be a little harsh on the lungs. The smoke was pretty smooth. I ripped a few big lungs full and put the pipe down. I swear about 2-3 minutes later it hit me like a freight train. I mean I was straight baked to the point that it put my ass in the fetal position, while my mind wandered (this is how low my tolerance is) Heavy, heavy head high, I was pretty impressed but it knocked my ass out. By 6:30PM I was asleep like a new born baby, lol.

SO anyway, this is why I don't smoke my own shit. It's WAY to potent for me, lol

lol, yeah man, I donate my finished product and in return my friends donate something in return. Sometime's it's money to help me pay for my grow expenses etc. =) It's a good system. I don't sell weed, I simply donate it and in return most of the time I get a donation back =)
