I hear you BT,

This grows veg was from July 26th to October 28 when I flipped. Three frigging months, mostly my fault. Your right things will be different on my next grow.

Also guys, quick question...these two Critical Kush are developing quite differently. The one on the right has 8 very even mains and very little secondary growth coming up the middle. But the one on the left has had more uneven growth, and I've had to pinch 3 of the mains to slow them down so others can catch up. But also, there are a few buds growing up through the middle (not mains), that are practically level now with the 8 mains. So my question is: would you leave those or trim them after 2 weeks in flower (as Nuggbuckets seems to suggest) to give most energy/growth to the mains? Not sure if that made sense....

Fellas, maybe I just missed this...but why did you veg for so long?
These last two grows i topped my vegging plants right before flwoer and used thos tops for clones. So i basically had to wait the whole flower time for them to flower them selves. Granted they are a week behind flower. My flowering plants were PLANNED to be 8 weeks like their description says Fruity Chronic Juice. But by the time i cut, which i finally now plan to do i think saturday they will have been in flower for 10 weeks and two days. Which means veg is 9weeks and 2 days.

NOW the clones i just took will be for mothers. So i can just take clones like 4 5 weeks in instead... if they were real 8 weekers. i could make it work...

Drude,

There were a number of issues with my grow. I started getting sick in May which set me back on building my cabinet.
When I was able to plant, I thought my surgery would have been over but they kept pushing it back weeks at a time.
So I was vegging under CFL, a fixture I built for vegging, and a support cable broke and the fixture slammed into the plants breaking mains. I let the area where the broken branches start filling in in hopes of creating 9 mains. I had my surgery in early Oct. and was able to finish my cabinet and put the ladies in there in late October. So I planted the seeds the end of July, did not start flowering till the end of October. They say a 56 day flower so I should be ready on Dec. 23rd.
I should have left Q2 with just the six mains as those mains are all even in growth and the other three I tried to get going on the same plant have been small the whole grow. I also got a lot of side shoots, which I attribute to the long veg.
Anyway, onward through the fog!

Peace out,

GR

DUDES!? Do any of you use Phantom digital ballasts? I have a 400w one for Veg. Thought it was the bulb maybe so i got a new one. But it just happened again. It's now done it a few times where i go down like an hour or however long after the lights should be on an they arent.. Cycle the power and it turns on. i have been lucky to catch it these few times but wtf man.. Phantom was suggested by someon here on RIU. seems like a very solid ballast. Not too hot, nice a quiet. but this is gonna become an issue. Especailly because I was looking at getting a 1000w phantom, dimmable.

I don't have a phantom ballast....but that sounds like something is wrong. Did you purchase it recently?

I did. this is the first grow its been used in. So less than 3 months old.
It did it the VERY FIRST time it was supposed to automatically turn on from the timer. Then 1 random time. Got new bulb. Just happened again today. starting to think ballast now.. Might have to shoot Phantom an email...

Ok I am about 11 days out from the date given by the breeder. The are looking ok, not bulking up like I had hoped but got very tight buds.
My buddy from NM will be here right before Christmas, on the 23rd, and I would like for us to sample Q2. I was thinking of cutting a couple of buds for him and I to try, well my G/F will want some also, but what the heck. LOL

So I am thinking of cutting some on Saturday and dry for the remaining time. How would y'all do it. I am thinking cutting, hanging to dry but don't think a single shoot off the main will take that long to dry. So let's say it's 5 days, then put it in a jar and breath it daily till John gets here. What do y'all think.

I don't think I will be ready by the proposed day of harvest but well shall see.

Got lots of purple happening now.

FJG, how you getting such exact numbers of trichs like that? or you jsut callin it that by a look? :)
LOL not exact at all just my own bull spit observation, hypothesis  if you will:

Every where I put the microscope I saw cloudy... occasional spot of clear...I had to search for the ambers, found my two or three teeny patches, I called it a percent (if its that) so thats how i came across my weird %'s.

Math was never my strong subject...but shit I was great at hypothesis LMAO

Ok... lol, kinda feel like an idiot for asking now lol thats basically what i thought you were gonna say right after i posted it lol.

Hey what scope do you use? Seems like every one i have tried either the loupe lense is like the size of a pencil eraser. Or just bought a like hobby store microscope that plugs in via usb to ur PC. Here's the pics i got off that. But it isnt GREAT. I think the light might be too bright and doesnt really give the best look. What do you guys think? By these, what percentages do you think you see here?
Image18.jpgImage19.jpgImage20.jpgImage21.jpgImage22.jpgImage23.jpgDSC01448.jpgDSC01454.jpg

Been flushing since sunday the 8th. That whole day it got 4 feedings of florakleen. Now just straight ro. Its at like 60 ppm. My goal is to cut at all cloudy. I dont have time for amber, if ya'll remember my veg situation. So my thought is to wait for like 75% cloudy, throw in 48 hours cool darkness and im hoping by then im either all cloudy or really close. Thoughts?

Thansk dudes! :joint:
