The journalistic obligation to fact

Gotta have nameless sources. Too many people willing to use violence to oppress language.

*But that’s how you end up with people believing things like the pee pee dossier.

The biggest fault lies with the person that is willing to believe anything, and then act on it.

agreed. Though I’m not sure how you protect someone from themselves while respecting free will and personal choice

You just left them off your list of culprits and I was pointing that out. Left leaning news broadcasts like CNN and MSNBC are just as guilty of stoking the flames of division with opinion pieces disguised as news, as Right leaning networks like Fox.

The entire industry is wrought with opinion and hearsay conveyed as fact.
The networks in question are not right-leaning. They’ve stepped into cloud cuckoo land. You are engaging in the “both sides” dishonesty. The center and left-center networks are not relentlessly telling MAGA lies in order to foment lawlessness like we saw nine months ago.

Or that the election was stolen, but since we'll never be able to stop people from saying crazy things, I have a hard time caring about people saying crazy things. People have been saying crazy things for literally thousands of years, we won't be putting a dent in it.

You can't. You can only control what you can, so if you're going to put someone out there, then don't publish their name. Minority Report isn't a thing yet, so there's nothing to be done on the pre-crime side. And that's nothing new, it's how the system works 99% of the time. Bad shit has to happen first, so you just do what you can on the front end.

The Psychic network, pretty much all evangelist channels, the hsn channel. With consumer protections what would happen to these gems

Tabloids were mentioned. They do not seriously portray themselves as sources of fact. The news networks I mentioned do, and are held to an ethical standard, or should be. But seeing seditionists get light sentences fills me with dread.

Just the tip of the iceberg there... The evangelists have been milking unsuspecting folks for cash for ages

I do not read CNN and never go to NSNBC. CNN does push an agenda but they do not lie outright. There is a thing called facts that some orginizations do note worry about much.

that's from your perspective. you have to realize that these trump tards that believe mexico is paying for a wall are the same ones that think brad pitt has a secret crush on the queen of england per those same tabloids

so take a Qtip and jam it in your ear, dumb yourself down a bit, and then go watch Stinchfield. he' make more sense lol

Bullshit. Your 'both sides' troll is garbage. There is no Mark Levin/Tucker on MSNBC. And reporting facts is not the same as what they do on Fox who keeps them out of rotation so they can keep their cherry picked narratives alive.

There is not a Rupert Murdoch/Sinclair broadcasting/local news supression campaign on the left. Nor is there a outright propaganda campaign online using their militarized troll army to sell their lies like the Republicans have been using.

Bullshit. Rachel Maddow is liberal Mark Levin. Don Lemon is liberal Tucker. You’re blinded by bias if you can’t face that honestly.

edit: there are literal troll armies on the Washington post comment sections that militantly attack anyone and everyone that don’t push the “propaganda,” especially if the writer happens to put out a piece that diminishes any Democrat. I’ve observed that for years now. There are troll groups that hit up breitbart comment sections all the time. I see wack jobs from the right do the same thing on places like salon.com and Theroot.com too

Both sides exist because guess what, both sides are people. You can’t just lump people into a group to dismiss anything they stand for or view as right/wrong. I also don’t assume you are everything I dislike about one party or another in human form. Maybe @UncleBuck, but not you @hanimmal ;)

In their positions, but what about in the things they push? Do you think they're peers in crazytown?

Just because you don't like what she has to say doesn't mean it is not correct. You are deluded to see her screaming and saying that people should actually hate 'them'. Warning people about the very real shit that the Republicans have been doing is not the same by a mile.

Are you ok with the fact that the Russian military has been attacking our society?
