ye happy enough with the set up now it be the 3rd run of bermese and that pheno is dank,citrusy piney taste .
stone is strong but not to heavy .
20 bitches under 2 600hps bout 2 oz each but could do better had a few little probs so wasn the perfect grow...
they in 3 gallon pots of organic soil dont feed nutes unless they need mix ferts into the soil few weeks before needed

got a pack of ten beans in hemp shop capel st didn have to wait for the order in the mail..
only found 2 phenos in the pack wasn too impressed with the other she was bit more sativa in her she strecths a bit too bit bland i taste like ripe fruit but faint and not near as potent and 7n 1/2 weeks is misleading maybe in a hydro set ye but soil 8-9 weeks and have to say the buds are soild like marbles

Hi All, New to this site....checked it out a few months but it seems to be thrivign in the meantime. Also one of the the band of Irish growers...started a few months back and still in veg state. Realy getting fu*ked around with compost...first one ot two fried my seedlings etc. etc. What do people use for compost...names/type etc??? Living on West coast...can get to Galway, Castlebar etc. etc. if anyone can recommned a good brand etc. Really pissed at this stage as would nearly be cropping if things had gone according to plan. Currely trying to grow AK48...not the size that they shoud be at this stage. Sick of getting overly complicated answers from other site...keep it basic please. Peace to all. RB
try biobizz light mix or allmix if you cant get that try westland organic veg compost mixed with john innes no.2 add perlite 30% you will also need some dolomote or garden lime to raise ph because these soils are bit acidic leave for few weeks before you use to let ph stablise...oh and some worm castings...this is good for veg....for flower add bonemeal,batguano,kelpmeal,epsomsalts
and feed nutes in water as needed...

irish grower here, just had my first harvest in a few years 3x arjans strawberry haze, seeds were planted on 1st sept and harvested yesterday after 11 weeks flowering.

looks like some beefy buds there Greengiant, well done! hope the haze lives up to its reputation!
@rocketboy-iv gotten away with potting compost for seedling but quality can vary, last thing you want is an insect invasion from contaminated soil. this time round i used light mix from bio bizz as mr tweed suggested.
took some small cuttings 2day, get the ball rolling on some cloning advntures.

ye you be right there liblah biobizz or plagron soil be the way to go ye can tend to get a bit of a fungas gnat infestation with inferior soils biobizz is best option imo
especially if you doing subs super soil

Thanks for response guys...that's some list of ingredients you have there Dr. Tweed...!!! Will try and keep it simple this time. Apprecite all that stuff will enhance resutls but to a novice it's slightly ott. Have to admit I'd be very reluctant to go into local grow shop to buy oneof their composts....could imagine coming out the door with a couple of sacks slung over my shoulder meeting the local copper etc....LOL...!!! Cheers guys and best for 2010...

Hi,
Anyone else finding this weather a night mare...??
Had my 250w M/H on 24/0 and the room was fine but had to switch to 250w HPS 12/12 as they were getting a bit big, plus the screen was nicely filled.. (SCROG).
This is my second attempt at scrog, first one was some what of a faliure due to over feeding massivly... !!
Not too sure what they are but im sure its a mix of indoor strains i once bought.
I have BLZ BUD in a veg / clone room, along with 4 other bag seed..
Better get back to work...!

Oh yeah Dude if you live in eire how can you get good bagseed? I have saved loads of money along the way by being a bit creative but if you dont buy good seeds just to save money your missing out on long term monies ....i think...just thought it was worth telling you dude.
I spent 100 euro on seeds tell me if you think its worth it

Any bagseed can be good man my mate grew out a few not to long ago and he had this one phenotype that was completly covered in crystals, all the seeds came from that thai shit weed that does be going around! When grow the buds were completly different from that supposed thai stuff!

Well its not so much bag seed as it would be high grade stuff, Its just seeds from my first grow and I hadn't a clue what i was doing and one of my females gave me seeds..!!
However I gave clones to a mate and he grew a few and the result is very good i must say.. least I'll know what I'll be harvesting in a couple of months..
Lookied at the Barneys LSD, seems strong stuff..

Defo worth buying seeds, I have just bought... Strawberry cough, 8 mile high, wonder women, ak47 x kush, ak 48.
Looking in to doing some breeding with the auto flowering strains... Hopefully ready for the summer...

Im thinking:
LIGHTING: 250w hps
INTAKE: 2 high powered computer fans
EXTAKE: 1 high powered computer fan with diy carbon filter
STRAINS: 1 x White Widow and 1 x Bubblegum... (trying to find a strain that would be hard to smell while growing, with big yield and a couchlocked stone or a lightheaded happy stone. Any suggestions?
MEDIUM: 70% compost with 30% perlite
NUTES ETC: mollases, nutes (havent decided yet)
GROWING SPACE: 130cm high, depth of 30cm and 80 cm wide.
GROWING TECHNIQUE: uncle bens topping technique
