the new medium (canna coco) is not much better still a high ph around 7 the other coco is higher about 7.5 ph, if i could turn back time i would soak the coco in water overnight while adding ph down until it stays at 5.8 cause the bh buffer in the coco is too high above 7 and causeing lock out due to high ph, its too late now i would kill the plant if i changed the coco because of the roots everywhere
kang if ya crush up eggshells in water then strain before givin too plant it should lower the ph

no mandy jus have the oscalating fan in the tent.do ya reckon it b a good idea ta have a little fan near the light.im only havin problems when i turn the house heatin on its perfect when the heatins off.i knew i read somewere 12/12 wasn good for autos:-P
i only have 150w hps and i always have a fan direct on it,, if i dont my temps go sky high, try it direct on it for a few hours when the lights com back on,, mine dont get a chance to heat up this way, ur temps r above 80 at the norm, u might need that temp to cum down wen ur buds really kick in

if it is fine heating off, could you not just open the window a good bit in the ensuite when its on? growing in the tent theres no light leaks is there?

you must have heating pipes running in the wall behind the tent aswell, running the temp up.. i know its true of my house, and the underfloor heating you can really feel it when its on...

still don`t get the 12/12 not being good for autos.. if from start they just want to flower and there not phot period why wouldn`t it work, prob has something to do with yeild as in they yeild alot better on 18/6 or something.....

how high is your heating set seamus, could you possibly turn the heating temp down on the boiler and run it a little bit longer each day this should help a little as the actual heating temp is down compared with now...

thats they way to do it, if i had it too sell i`d go with the 2g bags aswell, unless it was a really good mate, they might get the 3g, holding out hope for a few grams here this eve, doubtful it`ll show tho, always the same story... tomorrow...

leaves curling up or down? hows your humidity?

think he`s from the same school as me... the "fuck it it`ll do" school of growing hahahahaha... honestly when i read about ppm and ec stuff i really wonder how i manage to get anything atall, either lucky or the soil mix is working great as a buffer...
80e a q 7g down here good smoke aswell.theres not too many round here that would give 50 for 2grams fuck that.some of the lads i know wouldn even give 50 for 3 grams.dont b codded its a buyers market.

I have ph down thats not the problem let me explane by telling you a test i am doing right now,

i took a couple of cupfulls of canna coco and put it in a large bowl and added a few pints of water ph'd to 5.8 and after mixing with the coco my ph meter is showing the ph at 6.5 so i add 5 drops of ph down and test ph again and its 5.8 so i leave it for 15 mins to settle and test the ph again and its back up to 6.5! so i added more ph down and brought it back to 5.8

i will check every 15 mins and see if ph is rising again and find out how long it takes to break the ph buffer and set it to 5.8

I just tested my test bowl and its staying at 5.8 ph this time, i wont trust it just yet ill wait an hour or two and see if it stays, i have two seedlings and two in coco so if i get the ph to stay at 5.8 ill put one seedling into it and see if it works better, but i will keep one plant in soil this time as my back up cause i need smoke and i know i would fuck up the soil grow

Hey Grower,
Normally lurk on toke fora but figured this is the only thread/forum that reflects my nationality so I finally signed up.

First off, many of the constituents required to DWC this prodigious plant are extremely difficult to find, have wasted the last two months tramping from garden centre to centre looking for clay pebbles, net pots, high volume pump, rock wool, LEDs. Absolutely nothing :( The only hydroponics in Leinster is way out of my beaten track.

I reluctantly tried to use Amazon to buy, oxy pot, pump, pebbles and rockwool, received the message that the UK supplier does not deliver to rep of Ireland.

Against my better judgement I've decided to make my own equipment (net pot, oxy pot)

As for the clay pebbles... I'm going to grab a couple of pocketfuls from the Weston's display plants outside their front as I pass by on my way home :D lol
