Ive been on here for a while and noticed that there was no HID thread. High Intensity Discharge ( HID ) lighting is the definition of " taking it up a notch " in our grow rooms. Using them allows us to grow healthy happy plants that grow stronger and faster than flouros and most other types of light would allow. I think everyone will agree ... that besides the whole electricity bill thing , they are great. This is a thread for people to post comments about the success and great results they have achieved using HID Lights, and also questions about HID lighting that they would like to have answered by knowledgable roll it up members. Feel free to post pictures of your current setup, grow, new lights, ect. Happy growing everyone! :leaf:

Ill be posting pics of my grow soon. I use a 400watt MH and a 600watt HPS.

Theres some i got goin under the 400watt metal halide. They are bigger now. Ill be posting some better shots later tonight.

:leaf: Heres a few pics of my current setup. Running a 400watt mh over my 3 blackjacks. The hood is air cooled sun system : ) . the white is sexy as hell. As soon as flower starts I switch it to the 600watt hps! Hortilux ftw! :leaf:

Going to be either ice or Feminized LA woman clones. Air cooled 6". Im actually trying to figure out if swapping the air 4.7 times per minute is going to give me a whistle under the door for passive intake.

Damn i really really really would like to get my hands on some of that LA Woman. I saw some bud porn with some and ever since have been craving to grow. thats pretty heavy passive intake. Lots of co2 : ) . Why are you upgrading lights? just ready for more plants or bigger yields?

Well the medical bill goes to vote in june and I figure I mind as well get ready for it since I cant grow right now. I actually have my old grow box starting seeds of all things. Waste of a 150W imo but...

Im using a 400w MH and a 400w HPS in 1 kooltube. air pulled out by a 350+ cfm blower fan made inline.

will a 250 watt MH and 250 HPS light be sufficient for 1 or 2 weed plants and a couple of basil plants? and how much will this raise my electric bill?

How do you like your CoolTube setup? I heard there is a lotta misguided light in those. Its good that you have both MH and HPS ... thats what time it is! did you make that yourself?! I just have a hortilux for mine that has hps plux added blue spectrum : /.

Man I need to get back off here. Been out of rehab 2 weeks and im already wanting to start popping prozac and growing agian...Damn :P

I saw some guy who was on prohibation or something , he couldnt grow weed so he was growing some cross strain of tomato. lol. Pretty good shit. Prozac is from the devil. And growing is illegal, not immoral. Dont let mankind make you feel like you shouldnt have the right to grow a fucking plant. im not big on the whole god thing , but if god is real, growing weed is gods work. lol.
