young prophet, have you looked up to see if you have any garden centers in your area? you might check that out if you haven't. if that doesn't work, mannurse is right. nobody'd notice an order of perlite. or even flushing what you've got really well. that mg doesn't have a lot of shit in it.

Guys im not sure if this perlite is ok for hempy grow but its the only perlite i can find locally its caled Miracle grow perlite, somewhere i read you cant since it has some aditives but im not sure.

Do i need pure perlite?

I am currently using Miracle Grow perlite with no issues really. MG has very little nutes in it and if anything my girls are looking a bit deficient. I will post pics in a few, have to find my camera.

tbh, its not the nutes in MG perlite that makes it suck, just the quality of the perlite

there's always random shit in the bags, like some soil and organic matter that must get in from their other products....

and better quality perlite is EASILY had

home depot should carry giant bags of perlite that is GREAT... hyrdro stores will carry quality perlite as well

at home depot they don't have gigantic (like 20-30 lb bags) of perlite???
not sure because was only able to get the MG perlite, i even asked a rep their and they said no but he probally didnt even know what i was talking about, will try fid it when i go return it tmr.

Hey question im going to buy a zero pitcher it suppose to leave water a 0ppm, does 0 ppm mean ph is 6.5 or nuetral? i dont want to have to buy a pph meter those things are like 200 bucks. This way i dont have to mess with checking my res water and all that.
So basicaly start with zero water add my gh nutes and not wory about my levels.

ph and ppm are completely different buddy

ph is a measure of how basic or acidic something is...

ppm is parts per million... basically saying how much crap is in the water thats not water...

you can get by with ph test strips w/ the hempy bucket and you'll get a regimen down to where you won't really need to measure any more

so basically, take your water and add your nutes, then measure the pH, make sure it's around 6-6.5 pretty much (if not than add appropriate pH down or pH up solution and retest until you get the sweet spot)... and that's it really

you might not even need to use the pH solutions and that's real easy

if you do you'll learn how much you put in every time to correct it if you're making the same amount of nute mix each time you feed

i always use gallon milk jugs so my measuremens are the same all the time

hell i've just simplified it to a capful of micro and a capful of bloom for feed mix and plain water every few waterings for a flush...

some strains i'm running could use a little different mixup but they all still get along just fine... hell-of-a weed we're growin here

Howdy Hempy people. Got an update on my grow. Day 54. Here's a summary, the rest is at my grow journal. Yes, those are 5 gallon buckets.

Well the gear has arrived and I got my growspace set up..

This is the early start.. Just half the space used here, and keeping the other lamp off till i run out of space :)

The 2½gal buckets are bagseed adopted clones who had a rough start in life..
The small 9oz and ½gal cups/bottles are Northern Light seedlings..

Hope to show some nice results soon :)

Edit: Went with the 3-part GH nutes, and 100% Perlite btw :) And planning on a 2x 400w veg/flower room and a small cabinet with flurecent light for the upcomming Mother and future clones :)

Here are pictures from day 15 in hempy cups. I am not sure what the issue is but hoping to get some answers. They have since open a new set of leaves (they are very small in this picture)

Any ideas.. I am going to start feeding next week with either foxfarm or florabloom.

Thanks to everybody who posted here I learned alot from this thread!

First grow. I have some auto ak about day 9 started in RR plugs then put those into these hempy cups.. hole is about 1" from bottom of cup

RO Water, Didnt ph cos I dont have a kit, 100% MG perlite (I know that's all I could get) But flushed it before putting them in it, sprouted under cfl then turned on the 1000 watt about 4 feet above a few days later, helped keep temps up in the room, but one day it got above 90 and the humidity was around 15... I fixed the problem that night but that was 2 days ago and I havent noticed much improvement from them since. They get water once a day till it seeps out hole

4th pic is my little diy humidifier from a ultrasonic mister

I have since gotten the temp to stabilize at around 80 and humidity around 40.

Any opinions from experienced people????

I just want to make sure they will be ok!!

I'll let someone more experienced handle this, but it does seem your plants are droopy, overwatering perhaps.... Heat stress is a possibility as well.... Hang in there, someone will provide you with a good answer... all in all, things look ok tho...

My vote is for the MG perlite being the problem. Burning them. If you are forced to use that stuff you should rinse the hell out of it first to flush it clean.

I thought I did... The only reason I am so concerned is they are auto flowering and every day of them not doing top notch I feel has an impact on yield am I correct? I put them back under the cfl but nothing seems to improve them... I also did not water last night as bunch of ppl say im overwatering. Somebody HAS to know what's wrong..

What should I do??

What would you do?
