It's literally taking ice wax and "curing" it over the course of a handful of hours by jarring it up, storing it in the pocket of your jeans, etc. The body heat will cause the ice wax to "melt" into a grease or glob like form.

You do not cure in your pocket a closed container but the heat of the body will melt the trichomes, the way resin should be, as a mass but far from a good decarb. Ice Wax goes against nature but in the summer nature is stronger than the Rize.

I was mostly curious about just how significant the applied body heat was when considering the decarboxylation process; as suspected, it's there but obviously nowhere up to the standards of a proper press (and re-press).

You need 220 to 240 F for 20 minutes or so for a decarb, quite far from body heat. It does show on the other hand that trichomes do not stay separate naturally.

In his thread, he actually calls one of his products 'pocket cured'. Waits for someone to ask, and then explains it as just having it in his pocket for a day and the heat from his body helps it melt. But I agree...it doesn't actually cure it, just help it melt gently.

I use a 190 microns as a catch bag on my first wash to see if I have anything of quality in my 160 microns. If there is nothing worthwhile, I use the 160 as a catch bag.
In your case I would go for a 160 microns first, you may loose a few big trichomes but you will have cleaner result as well

thats interesting, so u don't use a 120 bag, that's cool I may get the 160 and 190 bags as budgeted for two.

on my last wash, I tried your method of putting the product straight into the machine, I usually use the 220 pyramid bag. My yeild was a lot better, but when I was rinsing the bags all of the hash was 'green', so I was thought the 220 bag was obviously too big and letting some plant matter through.
After about 3-4 hours drying I checked the 73 and 38 hash piles and the green had completely gone and was a nice creamy colour, the 73 was basically full melt but did leave some residue, tasted amazing, like u just drank a glass of orange juice!

the only explanation I could think was that the actual green colour I was seeing was just water and had just evaporated, have U had anything like this before!

You have to rinse the trichomes in your bag with a strong spray (shower head, watering sprout, etc.) to clean the "green color" you had which must have been a little foamy. It is the chlorophyll in the water

He must have agitated a little too strong or/and the trims may have been frozen, too much material or too much ice and not enough water. There is plenty reason for the chlorophyl to come out, the green must have been foamy in any case to disappear without help.

Hey Frenchy I'll be ordering my new machine and bags this Friday so did you end up making those changes to the machine you were talking about if so could you post some pice of the changes also do you have any tips on cleaning or preparing a New machine and bags before using them Thanks

Yes I did make the changes, mainly the "exhaust pipe" to have a nice smooth surface and cutting the little plastic teeth

that you cannot see on the pic. I also cut every other "plastic bar" on top but try first without cutting them, cutting the underside should be enough.
Sorry I do not have pics of it, I will be able to post some in 2-3 days.
You should wash your machine thoroughly with water and some type of natural bleach/disinfectant/alcohol before you start working.
Wash your bags in alcohol and rinse them well before use

Thanks Frenchy I can't wait to use it I'm excited and I haven't even ordered it yet lol I'm growing Space Bomb and Chernobyl outdoords this year so I should have lots of very nice trim to work with I don't have any indoor trim as I'm still finishing up my new permanent grow rooms as I lost everything I had to a fire about 3 years ago then a theft of all my equipment while stored in my garage so I've had to replace everything so I've only been working with small temporary rooms but I'm almost finished my new rooms and will have trim on a regular basis soon and plan to start a thread when I'm all up and running again anyways Thank you for all your help and your connections its all been very help full thanks.

Hey Shawns, remember to mention to Stephanie that you do not need the 220 bags that come with the machine. It will bring the price down because they are of very high quality I have to say.

Thank you I already spoke with her about changing the 220 work to a 190 catch and she agreed so that way I'd have the New Frenchy Style bags lol

I have to disagree, the machine give me the same quality than hand stirring and higher quantity.
That's from personal experience but it is different for everyone, it is mostly the work method that makes a difference I think.
