some dry sift next to some girl scout cookies, the dry sift is pressed of course, and its made from some terribly grown outdoor that is almost unsmokeable for a picky smoker like me, but it has some decent trichomes!!!!!

Frenchy, I know the motivation for drying and curing for long term storage is moisture removal for mold resistance, but will taste become less harsh as well or is taste only strain related?
My plan is to hand press always on the first wash. Since only body heat is involved in this process ,does it need to cure longer than the hot water bottle press?

The curing when you use water is a security against mold but also give the time to the resin to "eat" any microscopic leaf material as well as the membranes that surround the resin glands. After "dinner"(6 to 8 weeks), the resin will go into a more dormant stage (digestion) at that point you age it to mellow the smoke and the nose/aroma will be less strain related and more hashish but you should be able to recognize the strain.
There is no difference on curing and aging time between hand pressed and bottle pressed

I like when frenchy talks i get more info. i see time is needed to do it right. i got plenty of vacuum seal bags. for real long storage.so you use jars with moisure bags for 6/8 weeks then go into long term storage with or with out moisure bags?

Thanks Frenchy great reply my friend. As you probably know by my previous comments, I'm trying to produce old school style hashish but clean and top /quality. The best way to know what you're putting in your own body is to have made it yourself

My first attempt at frenchy hash came out ok. Its only cured for a couple days though
I tried 2 little snaps. It was half melt. The 25 micron melted a little more than 70 micron. I did leave it sitting in ice and water for 30-40 min before mixing. I had to run to hoa office really quick at the time. It is plyable. Has an almost waxy texture. Went from blonde to caramel as I pressed it. I used a jar filled with warm water to press it. Next batch I will have more trim to play with. I also mixed by hand with a wooden spoon. No washer. Haven't got a new one yet.

So I had a question for yall more experienced hash guys, this is the first time Iv had bubble hash around curing. So after I dried and pressed/rolled the cannoli I put it in a mason jar in my little grow building (ambient outside the cabs is 73f) Iv noticed noticed after a month or more it has gotten considerably more oily in both appearance and structure,,, it got so soft it folded in in itself and took on a "melted" form.
Is this telling me I should keep it even cooler? Or is it okay for it to be like this? It sure is delicious though

Guys...examine your Boldtbags carefully when you receive them. They took over a month to "custom" manufacture mine...they arrived with stitches through the bottom of the 160, and there are threads coming through the uneven seams. I own another set of regular Boldtbags that were much less than the $260 these cost, and they are made so much better that they look like a different brand. I have called Stephanie regarding the issue, but she does not call back. It is apparent that Boldtbags has serious customer service and quality control issues. I will continue to attempt to exchange the 160 and keep the rest, even though the construction of these bags does not justify the inflated price point. Looks like I will be using an alternative manufacturer in the future. Obtaining good quality bags should not take up a good portion of your year.

I'm glad I got mine before the huge demand mine are perfect, but I remember someone a while ago one of his bags the seem was all fucked up. But she always got right back to me she could also be at a show or getting ready for the cup give her a week to get back to you let us know what happens
