Last but not least, the Smoke report
Ladies and gentlemen I must say, I really enjoyed growing these fine ladies and in the way I did (Organic, No till). I will definately run this same setup and in the same 3 pots (except for lighting where I'm thinking about switching to DIY COBs).
Barney's farm Tangerine Dream:
Sprouted on Jan 2, flowered on Feb 12th and harvested on May 2 (80 days)
The buds do smell a bit like tangerines and more intensified when crushed between fingers but the taste is much milder. The effect is incredibly high with body tingly feeling throughout .. focused and aware but when ya let go and relax, you will drift in a daydream effect (hence the name??) Now as mentioned somewhere on the internet, if you hit it too much, youll be stoned and couch locked. Its been my go to at night when i WANT to lock myself in bed happily and dreamy with a smile on my face and tingling throught ... but still wake up in the morning refreshed (vs blueberry for example, that leaves ya heavy still in the morning needing more sleep or laziness in bed ... average hrs of sleep for me 5h...blueberry best for weekend when i can get up to 7h).
She was a lovely girl and aged very gracefully with the colors and frost id say for those hunting for good taste and scent (wait til ya hear about the PE) this pheno isnt the one. But for high and structure, hell yeah!
Dutch Passion Strawberry cough:
Sprouted on Jan 10, flowered on Feb 12th and chopped April 23rd (72 days)
She showed good growth during veg ... she shot up during flowering and those colas were all buds! Unfortunately she hermied on me and raped the other who alsi hermied but not like this one!
The buds are very leafy but those gave me lots of sugar leaves to get bubble hash later
The scent is that of candied strawberry .. not bad dutch passion ... the flavor has a hint of strawberry flav coolaid lol
Now heres the problenm .... you hit it and you better be careful.... too much and you're racy as hell and trippy. Pure sativa effect all head high with a jolt of energy.....i mean the first time i hit it I felt like I wanted to SPRINT as fast as I can ... i shit you not. It was a bit trippy the first time for an hour or so. I still smoke it only in the morning. A jolt of energy focused if you wanted to focus on something or allow yourself to drift in many thoughts.
G13 Labs Pineapple Express #2:

I grew her older and original sister by G13 labs a few years back and that plant empressed me (theres a journal of it here somewhere). This one reminds me ALOT of her older sister in scent and flavor except its ALOT more intensified. In fact I ve never tasted weed that was so fruity!
It smells of overripen pineapples and some fruity juice smell too in there.... it does taste just like that too ... shes short and despite the short period of veg, she produced well. The high is confusing as shit which is why this bud has the reputation. Just like the movie. Youre high as hell and stoned as hell at the same time racy thoughts but heavy and tingly body ... if smoked at night and into bed you go, youll be glued but you wont fall asleep youll be having fun for sure ... in your head unless theres someone else in bed too lmfao n watch out you WILL ve stupid
I actually flipped the lights back to veg hoping that shed reveg.
The yield wasnt as I am used to with hydro, but hey i didnt scrog these and they werent vegged that long either.
This run also got infested with spider mites but the girls did well resisting them (mainly the TD that had the mites). I learned from this run and battle with the mites that going in full force trying to eradicate them is stupid (sorry if im insulting anyone) and wasteful (unless youre using chemicals etc). I believe that you need to be a politician and a bit of a bully with the mites. Just mess with their environment and make it hard for them to live and you and your plants will be fine. In fact i believe that an infestation thats kept under control, can in fact be beneficial to YOU in that itll stress the girls JUST ENOUGH to make them produce a lot more resin rewarding you in the end with better smoke (what do you guys think?). Id say lower the temp, increase humidity and air circulation, spray them off the plants and spray them with essential oils such as peppermint and lavender as well as neem regularly and keep the leaves clean and dust free! The small and negligible colonies still alive will stress the girls just enough to show ya the bad genetics (hermies) and increase resin production
