Hello Dawg,

Is that a S&P TD Silent in the top of your tent? If so, what size is it and how do you like it? I have the 150? (smaller) size and it seems to be working well in my 3' x 2' tent...

Brother how many lights do you have!? So stellar. I am curious what you have under each light, and keep me updated on that C99, if you will! Looks like shes gonna take her sweet time..

I just set up a new 3x3 and it's between Sour Kush, Fruity Chronic, and Space Queen. Thought about hitting your boys up over at GG for a filter.

Damn my man, I am still sold on the SGS. It is THE panel.. but the i am curious what ALL ww will do.

I am guessing you are still along the same thoughts to keep some red in the 4x4, running x2 of each model? Im waiting on that new casing from ol' 51 ;) Thinking itll look sharp as fuck.

That is a badass tent sir, whatd you score it for? BF deal didnt you... why bother asking lol. I wish I could have went bigger, the dimensions just fit for now. I have my two cabinets with the 33x15" scrogs, but with the 3x3 it's a direct fit for x2 of my 10gal res' and a pair of those scrogs. My cab's dedicated for clones and the 2 weeks of FULL veg ('bout 2 inches under the screen, for two kids) Rocking an R2 AT200 from Apache my friend. I might toss up a journal if I can stay dilligent, but our good friend FJ going up mia steers me away. Told myself the 3x3' would only be for when I seed with CS.. but you know how that goes.

Sorry don't mean to jack with my shit, which side is that autotopper on bruv?

Hey Dawg, lovin what you got going on here. I've been keeping my eye on the led section here for some time to see when it would start making sense to switch out my 1k's, and now it's pretty obvious that A51 and Apache are doing it right and it's time for me to make the switch. Which brings me to this...

My Frist Choice Would Be The Area-51 Leds And My Second Choice Would Be Apache Tech.
I was thinking that if you disregard price, the Apache AT600 would be the one to beat with A51 pulling up a close second (Greengenes/Tags thread was pretty convincing) and was curious to find out if you think A51 makes a better light or if A51 got your vote because it's just a more affordable awesome light?

I'm wanting to replace 2 1k's come springtime and warmer weather and was debating between 2 at600's or 6 or 8 A51 XGS's. I say was because I saw Eraser say they're coming out with a big boy 4x4 coverage light in a few months so I'm definitely gunna wait to see the specs on that before I spend any moolah. Anyway, just wanted your thoughts on that, thanks man. Good growin!!

Brother Imoore I Googled Apollo 45 and Found Nothing. Is This Your First Time Growing????I Need More Information To Really Be Of Help. However To Answer Your Veg/Flower Question The Only Thing That Would Be Different Would Be Your Light Height.

Oh Hell Brother Your Not Jacking My Thread Were Just Bullshitting. To Answer Your Question Is No Thats Not Why Im Putting 2 Sgs's In My Tent With The 2 Xgs's.After The 1st Grow I Will be Moving The 2 Xgs's Into My Smaller Tent With The 2 Sgs's That Are Currently Over The Twins Into My 4x4.So My Actual Dream 4x4 Setup Will Be 4 Sgs's.

Ive Been Waiting A Full Year To By this Setup. You See I Noticed That Online Hydro Shops Had Better Deals On Black Friday Than On Cyber Monday So I Scored Big.

I See You Bought An Apache Tech.My Question Is Did You Get Brother Greenjeans To Pull Some Strings For Ya????You See I E-Mailed Them Several I Mean More Than 10 Times Trying To Buy A Light And No Not 1 Of My E-Mails Bounced Back???I Also Left Just As many Phone Messages Stating I Wanted To Purchase 1 And To Date Not 1 Reply.I Thought WTF It Must Be The State I Live In But Im starting To Hear More Of This.So My Brother Looks Like You Had The Golden Ticket In Your Willy Wonka Bar.Let Me Know How It Stacks Up Against The Sgs

Welcome Brother tallen. As You Can See Above I Tried To Buy An Apache Led With No Sucess. As A Small Business Owner Myself Customer Service Is What Has Growen My Company In A Very Competive Field And My Belife Is Your Product Is Only As Good As Your Customer Service. Not Only Has Area-51 Have 1 Of The Best Lights On The Internet Their Customer Service Is 2nd To None In The Led Industry. You Asked Which Led Is Better Well Let Me Ask You A Question Which Car Is Better A Lamborghini Aventador Or A Ferrari F-50??Now Just Because I Had A Bad Experience With Apache Tech Doesnt Mean They Make A Bad Led It Just Means That This Is A Company That I Will Never Do Business With!!!

When Reading Greengenes Thread And Looking At His Numbers Just Remeber That Apache Techs lenes are 14 And 50 degrees which Are Too tight For Me.Thats How Come This Light Looks Impressive At Thoses Hights. If Area-51 Used The Same Lenes Im Fairly Certian Area-51 Numbers Would Be Very Very Close. Now When I Look At Everything Including Price Why Would I Want To Spend Almost Twice As Much For A Light That May Or May Not Be Better????To Be Honest Im Not A Fan Of The Big Higher Powered Led.I Like More Smaller Lower Wattage Panels Because I Have More Control Over Individual Plants Light Hights.Plus Their Easier To Adjust.

Now The Reason I Recomend The Apache Tech Is Brother Puffenuff Has Purchased His 2nd Unit And Before He Purchased His 1st.He Would Change Leds Almost As Often As He Changed His Boxers.Honestly Brother Personel Feelings Aside I Feel Apache Tech Is The Only Other Led That Is As Good As The Area-51

Fuck, you are gonna have to update us and throw up some pictures of the whole shabang man....

I snagged my tent on bf too, should have gotten another continuous meter off of amazon when I had the chance.

Lol naw I asked GG his opinion on spectrum and the build of things, then I hit our boy Puff up and got some good input from the both of them. To be honest, I was blown away by the 600L more than anything, I will have that panel some day..

P and I agree the sgs is probably the most quiet panel to-date, but I want to see what the AT's have to offer. He says they are louder, and a tad warmer... but my 3x3' is in a MUCH cooler/higher RH space..... FUCKING FINALLY!!!

I have been in touch with Robert for about 3 months on and off asking q/a about the in's and out's, VERY hit and miss, but I have been on the phone with him a few times and if you do get an opportunity to talk with him- take in everything he has to say. Really great. And it all started with one of those damn "leave a message boxes" on their site.

Seriously, getting in touch sucks. I clock in when AT first walks in their office, and by the time I am off, they're having dinner. But it can happen, and he answers everything he can (not the guts)

and there is no homie price :/ but you can score the wider lense set if you're willing to cop it up. And dawg I am in the same situation as you, do not point out mmj when you get in touch. And if you have any questions hit GG, or puff up, I scored some spds too.

EDIT: brother Dawg I just saw your post right above, I will at least throw up some sort of thread for you with the 50*'s so you can see if it spreads better. I was worried too, and thinking either ALL 50, or a mixture and it will cover a 3x3 a little better. **time to bust out another excel sheet**

Thanks for the detailed response Dawg. I'm still playing bystander and seeing how good they're performing in real life before I make up my mind who I'm going to go with, but I'd definitely like to have my tent decked out in led by the end of March. Oh, and FYI on the 14 and 50 degree Apache lenses, I'm pretty sure I remember GG saying that that is the measurement from the center to edge, not the field of view like the other manufacturers and they would be 28 and 100 degree lenses going by field of view. You might want to hit him up to verify before you take my word for it though if it's something you need to know. I'm not sure how A51 measures or even what degree lenses they use for that matter.

you are right,

"The optics world refers to angles base on a 90 degree angle plane. to understand what a chip really is putting out under the light it is double that or 180 degrees. the 'deal' is: the chip is designed with a 88 degree angle (176 degrees). We then add focusing lenses (to keep light off the walls and focused toward the plants). For our agricultural lights we typically install 14 degree angle lenses (actual is 28 degrees)..."

GG said it once in his thread and ill reiterate that the 50 lenses are the equivalent of the 95's, those two panels are very close. I'll let G speak to this a little more...

The biggest difference I see is spectrum and how they are driven/cooled.

Gotta quick question for you, Mr Dawg. My plant seems to be growing kinda slow. The temps been around 66° F in the cabinet. Can low temps cause slow growth and tighter node spacing? I never had this problem before! Otherwise she's healthy as hell.

Whats up brother roller.Yes your temps are too low and thats what could be causing your slow growth.Whats your light height??

Check Out This Barney Bad Azz R/O System.Im Really Impressed With The Build Quailty Of This Unit. The Contraption On The Top Next To The Dow Filtmtec Membrane Is A Back Flush System Which Will Prolong The Life Of The Membrane How Kewl Is That. The Other Thing That I Was Really Impressed With Is They Use The John Guest Fittings Which I Also Run The Airline Quailty John Guest Fitting On My AirShifter (DragBike). It Uses All American Made Filters. If Your In The Market For A High Quality R/O System Check These Guy's Out. http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-4-stage-value-ro-di-system-75gpd.html?gclid=COf56uLzxLkCFZA-Mgod3XIAEA

Now The Reason I Went With The 5 Stage R/O-DI Is Although My Water Municipality Ranks In The Top 10 In The Country When It Comes To Water Quailty And Taste When You Test It The Ppms Are 750ish And Ive Tested as High As 820ish.They Use All Sorts Of Chemicals Plus Florides,Chloramines Well All the Shit Thats Very Toxic To Our Beloved Flowers. As You Can See The Ppm's Before The DI System Is 16 And 0 Ppm's After Me Likie Like.My Water Pressure Is About 10lbs To Low I Will Be Fixing That Later Today :hug:View attachment 2919025View attachment 2919029View attachment 2919030View attachment 2919031View attachment 2919026View attachment 2919027View attachment 2919028
Awesome journals Dawg! I am just catching up on all your work and it's very impressive :) I got my RO and meters from BulkReefSupply too! Those guys are simply awesome! Great support and great products; they talked me through installing my RO because I'm a complete plumbing noob. You won't believe how great the water out of an RO tastes compared to tap/brita or anything else. If you're ever looking for another pH meter, the HM fromBulkReef is really really awesome. I pretty much only have to calibrate it once a month and even then it's only off by a tiny amount. Also it's one of the only meters that measures pH to a hundredth of a point instead of just tenths. One thing I discovered about pH meters is that whichever one you are using, the electrode storage solution is essential. That's what'll keep it deadly accurate use after use.

On another note, you have really turned me on to Area 51. Based on your journals, and the input of others, I am strongly considering investing in a few panels. I can't decide if I should go with the new all white XGS-190 or the SGS-160. I am wondering about how the all white XGS spectrum will do in flower as compared to the white/red SGS. I know you have two panels coming to you, so I'm very curious as to what your opinion is?

Keep rockin' these journals brother!
