Impeachment Fact-Check: Military Funding Did Not Get To Ukraine, Shredding Trump Defense | MSNBC
The House impeachment report documents more evidence undercutting one of the White House’s last factual defenses to impeachment – the claim that there can’t be an impeachable abuse of power if Ukraine ultimately got the military money that was froze. In this report, MSNBC’s Ari Melber draws on the evidence in the new House report, and other material, to show millions of dollars have still not reached Ukraine, raising key issues for the impeachment probe. Aired on 12/5/19.

Maybe Rudy is secretly working for the "deep state", he seems to be doing his best to hang Trump! Maybe he should just head to Russia next and ask for asylum and since he's Trump's lawyer, see if he an get Donald asylum too! :D Only a moron could support this bunch of traitors. Trump could get down on his knees and blow Putin on TV and they wouldn't care at all, that's how fucking stupid they are. For these losers reality is something to be ignored, even if they get their noses rubbed in it daily, and they do. Hate and fear makes ya stupid and Trump supporters have made themselves into morons.

Rudy Giuliani just blew up Trump’s “no quid pro quo” talking point
Posting from somewhere in Ukraine, Trump’s lawyer tweets the quid pro quo.

President Donald Trump and his Republican defenders in the House continue to argue there was no “quid pro quo” with Ukraine (despite a White House call summary and testimony from numerous Trump officials indicating otherwise). It took Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, all of two tweets to blast that talking point to smithereens. On Thursday, Giuliani — apparently posting from somewhere in Kiev, where he’s currently traveling as part of his ongoing international effort to dig up dirt on the Bidens— posted tweets explicitly acknowledging a link between ongoing US assistance to Ukraine and investigations into the Biden family.“The conversation about corruption in Ukraine was based on compelling evidence of criminal conduct by then VP Biden, in 2016, that has not been resolved and until it is will be a major obstacle ... to the US assisting Ukraine with its anti-corruption reforms,” Giuliani claimed, despite the fact that no such evidence has emerged. In short, Giuliani tweeted the quid pro quo.

Schiffs impeachment is a FARCE because

1. There was no military aid withheld.

2. The conversation about corruption in Ukraine was based on compelling evidence of criminal conduct by then VP Biden, in 2016, that has not been resolved and until it is will be a major obstacle...

...to the US assisting Ukraine with its anti-corruption reforms.

The American people will learn that Biden & other Obama administration officials, contributed to the increased level of corruption in Ukraine between 2014 to 2016.

This evidence will all be released very soon.

Trump and his Republican supporters in Congress have sought to portray the efforts of the president and Giuliani to cajole the Ukrainian government into announcing investigations into the Bidens as being rooted in the president’s good-faith concerns about “corruption,” rather than his own political self-interests.But Giuliani’s tweet reveals the hollowness of that talking point. “Corruption” is just a stand-in word for “Biden.” He doesn’t even try to hide it.Even though Giuliani’s tweet gives up the game, White House spokesperson Hogan Gidley appeared on Fox News on Friday, still claiming that Trump “didn’t press [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky on anything other than getting to the bottom of corruption in his country. We know that.”

So if ya support Trump yer either a stupid asshole or a traitor, but I suppose most of the Trumpers are both. Putin's puppet has puppets of his own and they are even dumber than he is, I guess this is another example of, "the best people". I can see at least a dozen people going to prison for this one conspiracy, including Trump, Giuliani and many cabinet and other high government officials, including Mulveny, AG Bill Barr and Mike Pompeo. If Trump is impeached and removed, and Pence takes over, I can see him getting a pardon, if he follows Pelosi's orders and appoints her pick for AG. He will have to sell out the GOP though, no problem there, he already sold out America.

If Trump is not removed from office he and his fellow conspirators will be desperate to win the 2020 election. If he gets away with this shit it will be everything on the table in 2020 including nuking someone. If he loses he will try to start a civil war and whip his base into a violent frenzy, he won't go quietly unless he runs off to Russia on AF1, but I doubt would Vlad want the bother. Vlad and MBS are two other characters who are gonna be desperate for Trump to win too, so expect plenty of interference, Trump and the GOP left the door wide open for them again. If the democrats win in 2020 Uncle Sam is gonna go after both of these clowns until they are dead.

Rudy Giuliani faces spiraling legal danger as Ukrainian pal opens talks with prosecutors: report

Rudy Giuliani and Lev Parnas

Rudy Giuliani and Lev Parnas (AP)

Rudy Giuliani jetted out of Ukraine Friday facing even more legal danger as one of his Ukrainian associates reportedly entered talks with Manhattan federal prosecutors to give evidence against him in a campaign finance and fraud case.
Lawyers familiar with the case say Lev Parnas is discussing cooperating with prosecutors from the U.S. attorney’s office in Manhattan in a deal that would include his spilling the beans on Giuliani’s questionable business dealings in eastern Europe, the Guardian reported.
Parnas, who was a key player in President Trump’s hunt for dirt on Joe Biden, could also offer damaging evidence against the president and outspoken Republican Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.).
A lawyer for Parnas refused to discuss the possible plea bargain negotiations. But Joseph Bondy has said his client wants to talk to impeachment investigators about his discussions with Trump and especially Nunes, who professes ignorance about their schemes.

“Hey @DevinNunes — Lev remembers what you spoke about,” Bondy wrote on Twitter. “You don’t?”

Giuliani did not return a request for comment. A spokesman for the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office declined to comment.

The Parnas news came as Giuliani apparently left Ukraine after a two day visit, a Ukrainian ally said on Facebook. The ex-mayor met with some of the same discredited political players who got him in trouble in the first place, puzzling Republicans and Democrats alike.

The ex-mayor’s zealous campaign to dig up dirt on Biden’s family and to revive a conspiracy theory about the 2016 election led to Trump’s infamous pressure campaign on Ukraine, which in turn has brought the president to the brink of impeachment.

Parnas, a south Florida businessman with a string of bad deals in his past, and his partner, Igor Fruman, were enlisted by Giuliani in his shadow diplomatic effort to help Trump by undermining his Democratic opponents.

The Soviet-born pair and the ex-Hizzoner also hoped to reap big financial benefits by flexing the considerable political muscle provided by direct support from Trump.

Parnas and Fruman were busted in October as they sought to flee to Europe with one-way tickets. They face campaign finance charges tied to $325,000 in straw man donations to a pro-Trump political action committee and a GOP lawmaker.

Prosecutors from the U.S. attorney’s office in Manhattan raised the heat on Parnas and Fruman this week, saying they are actively considering filing more charges. That in turn piles pressure on Parnas to flip on Giuliani, who’s under investigation by the feds over his potential involvement in the scheme perpetuated by Parnas and Fruman.

Fruman, meanwhile, has no plans to discuss a deal with the feds, a source close to him told the Daily News.

Fruman is still represented by Todd Blanche and John Dowd, a couple of attorneys with ties to Trump and his disgraced former campaign boss, Paul Manafort. Blanche declined to comment Friday.

‘He’s Going Down’: Trump Impeachment Defense Shredded As Ukraine Still Missing Key Funding | MSNBC
MSNBC Chief Legal Correspondent Ari Melber was first to reveal a new piece of evidence in the impeachment report that shreds one of Trump’s core impeachment defenses -- that military money to Ukraine was “fully paid.” In a fact check, Melber reports how "Pentagon officials confirmed" to investigators that Ukraine still has not received "$35 million in security assistance." Former Federal Prosecutor John Flannery argues Trump is “going down,” and warns “Republicans who think they can vote to save this guy in the Senate” that Trump may “do something else.” Aired on 12/6/19.

As House Democrats move towards impeaching Pres. Trump over an alleged Ukraine bribe, his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, is back in Ukraine meeting with prosecutors. Giuliani is under criminal investigation and was cited over 500 times in Rep. Adam Schiff’s impeachment report. Some of Trump’s closest allies won’t defend Giuliani’s Ukraine trip. MSNBC Chief Legal Correspondent, Ari Melber reports talking to potential witnesses in Ukraine to possibly “shape testimony to alter a probe could end up on the hook for witness tampering.” Aired on 12/6/19.

if trump loses the election, there will be no running to russia for him...vlad won't take him in when he fails, he would be nothing but a liability out of office, and especially on the run from the law. the best thing putin could do if trump runs to him is to turn him directly back over to the authorities, and deny any connection to trump in any way. no one on the planet would believe him...but he should still deny it.

House Intelligence report on Trump is scathing

On Wednesday of last week, the House Intelligence Committee issued its impeachment report on President Trump. The facts are clear. Trump has engaged in obstruction of justice, abuse of power and other high crimes and misdemeanors in his effort to extort or bribe the government of Ukraine into aiding him in the 2020 presidential election. Donald Trump also usurped the power of Congress to allocate public money in the form of military aid to Ukraine. Trump has also repeatedly invited foreign countries to interfere in America’s elections on his behalf.

In the preface of the impeachment report, Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff summarizes the findings: “The evidence of the President’s misconduct is overwhelming, and so too is the evidence of his obstruction of Congress. Indeed, it would be hard to imagine a stronger or more complete case of obstruction than that demonstrated by the President since the inquiry began.”
Happy Holidays! As a special thanks for your support this year, you can get Raw ad-free for just $2 a week. Now until Dec. 31.

Schiff continues:

But the damage to our system of checks and balances, and to the balance of power within our three branches of government, will be long-lasting and potentially irrevocable if the President’s ability to stonewall Congress goes unchecked. Any future President will feel empowered to resist an investigation into their own wrongdoing, malfeasance, or corruption, and the result will be a nation at far greater risk of all three.
What should happen? Donald Trump should be impeached, convicted, and then removed from office.
What will happen? Donald Trump will be impeached by the House, but his Republican loyalists will not convict him in the Senate. Trump will claim he is a victim and his voters will rally around him. Russia may well interfere again, and Trump will likely win another term in 2020. His fascist authoritarian assault on America will continue.

Alas, the House Intelligence Committee impeachment report is truth without revelation. Thus the questions: So what? And who cares?
In many ways, a person is what they do. In his five decades of public life, Donald Trump has shown himself to be corrupt, criminal, racist, boorish, ignorant, misogynist, greedy and, increasingly, mentally unwell. The presidency has only amplified all Trump’s defects and provided him the opportunity to be an authoritarian leader, an American Ozymandias in service to Vladimir Putin.
Like Robert Mueller’s report a few months ago, the House impeachment report offers another damning public accounting of Trump’s vile character and ignoble behavior. This is no surprise.

Meanwhile, the lack of unified mass public outrage is another example of the normalization of deviance in America.
America, again, has shown itself to be not such an exceptional nation. The normalization of political deviance is a common trait in failing democracies around the world.

To that point, CNN recently released new polling data:
The impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump has had little impact on public opinion. In late November, just like in October, 50% of Americans wanted to impeach and remove Trump from office in CNN/SSRS polling.
Moreover, Trump’s approval ratings remain in the low 40s, and impeachment really hasn’t shaken up the Democratic race for president. … Persuadable voters on impeachment aren’t paying close attention to the impeachment proceedings, and impeachment is a low priority for voters overall.
Most voters are locked into their impeachment positions. About 85% of voters in our October and November polls said they felt strongly that Trump should or shouldn’t be impeached and removed. Only about 15% of voters didn’t have a strong feeling about impeachment or had no opinion at all.
But this “persuadable group,” the CNN analysis continues, is barely paying attention to the impeachment process, whereas among the 85% majority who “feel strongly about impeachment,” about half are “paying very close attention.” In other words, only people who have already made up their minds about Trump and impeachment are watching the proceedings attentively. Those people who haven’t made up their minds also don’t care.
