been busy as a dyke in a hardware store....ill try and get some new pics up tonight...im noticing the roadrunner is going the same course as the diesel...the leaves are not growing out much like they should be and its staying really short.in the same type of soil and with less lighting i grew a almost 4 footer on my last grow...was tall and bushy as hell.why are these growing on the same pattern...can the heat really do that much to the plants?

i think autos cant handle high temps as well as photo period plants during flower because in nature it is cooler when they flower.
Just a guess...

same thing i was thinking...it seems they are more sensitive to most conditions.nutes, overwatering, light cycle...ive never had any trouble growing before...my first grow was in a giant nft system me and a buddy built when i was 17.20 plants...20 females...most was about 5 foot tall and yielded almost 6 ounces per plant.that was my first grow...my last grow gave me a 4 foot plant...grew just fine...was a perfect plant.im growing in the same soil..same nutes..same everything except growing autos this time and a lot more heat becuase of more lights..and both are shit plants in my opinion.ive still got one more auto seed which im holding off on..im condisering starting my papaya seed tonight..go ahead and get it started.hte papaya and bubblicious seeds i got are not autos...might make a difference

I keep hearing so many mixed results with these auto's... most of the issues break down to genetic instablility of the strains imop.

oh yeah....not one of them is stable....but the seed banks sure as hell say they are...not saying the strains are all bad in any way.ive seen some really good grows with autos..treez and harth have had some great results with them.but im not getting any luck at all.not sure if anyone saw this post before but this shows the unstableness of the diesel ryder...was doing some research and found these 2 plants...both plants are the same age..grown in almost the same conditions, but completely different results...the plant on the left is probably what im gonna end up with

I think people should only purchase joint doctor seeds because he created the lowryder and his other plants are just lowryders crossed with other strains

Damn thats crazy those two DR's where grown in the same conditions! They look like two completely different strains.

also..after all the changes i made the temps was staying right at 92...so i tried something new..i opened the door to the grow box and sat a 16 inch fan right in front of it on high...the temps so far have dropped to 85...which would be better? keeping the door closed and having high temps...or keeping it open and having lower temps..but losing the light....the fan almost fills in the area where the door would be..so its keeping some light in...here is a pic..let me know what you all think

I would leave it open and give that a try for a few days. I think they will like the lower temp over the extra light.

i was gonna give that a try unless someone had a reason otherwise....only problem...its in the bedroom now.kinda hard to sleep with that 3 foot from the bed.if i put it back in the closet it would be pointless...its so hot inside there anyways....would have to leave the door open...guess when i go to bed ill have to close it up..till i wake up then i can put the fan back in front.but i only sleep like 4 hours a night sometimes...like right now its 4am..im making french toast...and getting high again...and rambling on in this post...holy hell..might as well stay up all night...again..dumbass cable company will be here tomorrow early...i hope he is cool...im not moving the damn grow box.

temps are holding steady at 85....i could swear both have grown over a inch since i changed the lights last night...both had kinda stalled out.they seem to like the cooler temps...hell with the big fan there i can throw in the 3 other lights ive got if i wanted to...might try that later

I bet they did, and do you know anything about your strains history? if it's an indica then it will definately love the cooler temps, indicas in my experience do not tolerate heat as well as sativas, at least outdoors.

yeah....i think i know more about these strains then i need to...dinafems roadrunner automatic and joint doctors diesel ryder...they are ruderalis/sativa/indica hybrids..so they can lean in either direction...mostly indica tho...so they tend to not like the heat...sativas can do much better than indicas in hotter conditions

todays pics...i can tell the buds on the diesel ryder are liking the new temps...buds are slowly starting to swell again....the last 2 pics are of the roadrunner can see the first set of hairs in the side view pic.and now even with the box closed the hottest it got was 87
