I see.. The site claims to be a U.S site, veteran owned.. not sure if allowed.. but they're called "Budget Grow Lights".. they call them ' Red Spec ' can you recommend a U.S store for DIY?
Yeah, Horticulture Lighting Group, Atreum Lighting, or Digikey for Bridgelux EB series Gens 2&3/Samsung F strips and HinFlux

LM301B/H are the exact same diode. They come from the same place, off the same line, just out Into different boxes. B is for the lighting industry using LUMENS to explain it's light output, H being more for the Horticultural Market using uMoles.
The 301h is more light for with same power. It’s not the same exact diode.

The switches on the bava unit with uv and ir are a bit sloppy as they they are the wrong way round, and generally just make it look cheap China..
They do a unit with just 1 switch(power switch), LM301H and osram red In 3500k or 3000k. About 20 usd cheaper.

I’m thinking It maybe just worth getting a 3500k unit with the 1 power switch for my full cycle grows? I’m sure I read the uv and maybe ir diodes don’t last that long anyway so then I’m left with a heap of switches that don’t work, especially if I changed the pcb board down the line and kept the heat sink etc.. and could possibly also just add in my own small uv , ir strips..

what do you guys reckon?help me make this decision before I order lol

I'd say you might as well get the "UV" diodes since its a wavelength around 420 that's not typically in LM301s. It could be of some use during flower. Worth playing around with

Think most of the china uv is based around an lg 390-400nm diode. Asked several times att kbre 420 and no joy.

So a standard 3500k LM301H with osram reds would be fine then... I guess if someone (hlg or China) comes out with a board with proper proven legit uv chips on it I could just buy that and fit to a current bava heatsink.. they all seem to have the same hole spacings. Then I’m not left with all them switch holes that are labeled wrong.

You can buy true UVB/C diodes right now from cutter. They just need to be hung much higher, like 20- 30", and turned on for only a few hrs total in 15/30min increments during a 12hr flowering period.

I’ve designed an LED board that has 216 LM301B 22 Cree 660 NM, 4 730nm and two LG 380 NM each as it’s own channel so it can grow anything and from my spectrum meter it’s all about how much power is distributed between all the LEDs. From doing tons of research from reading and growing having all these different colored LEDs especially the 660 and 730nm within a certain differences of micromoles/power plants actually produce more photosynthesis. In your case if you have more of the 4000k leds then 2700k it would have a better Chance of full cycle. If you find out what kind of LEDs are on the board along with the power distributed to each color you could go online and look up how many micromoles each color is producing and find the percentage difference and just google red to far red ratios on plant growth.
Sounds like the newest Bava board you designed.
